Not sure how many of you know about this, but on the Pokemon website (pokemon.com) they are announcing something big tomorrow (Jan. 8). I have no clue what it is but there has been speculation about RSE remakes and even Gen. VI. Personally I think RSE remakes are more likely but again, I have no idea. Just thought I'd let you all know so you can check and I will update this thread once I find out. |

They are planning on revealing whatever they are revealing on none other than Pokemon Smash, and it has been confirmed to a certain extent that it is news affecting the main series. |

There's a special Nintendo Direct called Pokémon Direct in a few minutes. Edit: Starts off with Satoru Iwata looking back at the previous games and new communication advances. And the time it takes between release in Japan and release everywhere else. More in a minute. EDIT: NEW 3DS GAMES! -Pokémon X + Pokémon Y -Releases worldwide this October The starters: -Grass = Chespin, a mole with the shell of a horse-chestnut seed on its head -Fire = Fennekin, a fox (probably fire/psychic) -Water = Froakie, a frog Legendaries: -one is a red and black coloured bird/dragon -the other is a blue, black and cream coloured Stag Video Oh and you get roller blades

I kinda expected it. It wasn't probable to release a remake as their first main series game for the 3DS. What I wasn't expecting was the simultaneous release. That's just too good. For once, we're treated equally with the Japanese. Now, as DNA said, I'll check to see if Pokebeach still exists. |

Is the new region based on France?   And at the start of the trailer, Pikachu is on top of the Eiffel Tower. |

Good catch DragoBoy, I think you may be right. They're certainly not going back to Japan, anyway. My first impression is good. I may actually end up getting a 3ds when the time comes ;o. Hopefully there will some kind of bundle with the games. I'll have to see more of the 3d (haven't looked at any videos yet, if there any >_>) but it looks okay. I like the starters and in particular Froakie, although I believe I'm due for using a Fire type this time. The legendaries are just a big X and a big Y, huh. |

If you check the video, Pikachu's electricity seems to come from France. Also, not everything is based on Japan territory. For example, Castelia City is built after NYC. |

I would be fine if you were actually in France or a region based of the country. It would be nice for some Pokedex entries that reference our world to actually be put in place. Also calling it now that the "X' legendary  looks like the Forest Guardian from Princess Mononoke

Well the Tokyo Tower is based on the Eiffel Tower and pretty much looks like it expect it is orange. I saw it in the summer and it was pretty cool ;o. But Tokyo was already done in Kanto so they won't be doing it again. |

I noticed that they broke the Chinese zodiac trend for fire starters. Although a fennec fox is a nice idea, and I really hope it does end up as Fire/Psychic. It looks like they could also break the reptile trend for grass startes. |
