Post subject:  LeafGreen: Saving the Elite Team
I have been a huge fan of Pokemon since I was a little kid. In fact, it's safe to say that Pokemon WAS my childhood. In my opinion, the first 251 Pokemon were the best ever created. It's very depressing to me when I see the newest floating nose Pokemon that Nintendo releases, so I love playing LeafGreen, which features my personal favorites while boastsing the better graphics of the newer games. So my question follows: Is there any way to transfer Pokemon from LG to new DS games such as HG SS or Black & White?

So you get a better understanding of why I care so much about this, here is the so called Elite Team, the sole purpose of my playing LG, and the reason why I would want to transfer it over should I get one of the newer games.

Jam that LeafGreen cart into Slot-2 of a DS Phat or DS Lite (No DSi variant is going to work here). Once you have beaten D/P/Pt/HG/SS an option will appear on the main menu, under Load Game, New Game, etc. to "Migrate from LeafGreen." You will choose six Pokémon to move from the GBA game to the DS one (but they can't have any HM moves while you're doing this, you'll have to take them to the Move Deleter to get rid of those first).

Then, you go to the Pal Park in D/P/Pt/HG/SS--I don't know where it is in D/P/Pt but it is in Fuchsia City in HG/SS, where the Safari Zone used to be. You'll play a mini game where you run around in grass and water looking for the Pokémon from LG, and when you've got 'em all, they're sent to your PC storage.

You can't send them back to any Gen 3 game. Ever. But you CAN send them forward to Black and White from there.

In DPPt, the Pal Park is at the end of Route 221.

This is why true Pokemon players need the Nintendo DS or DS Lite - not the DSi, or DSi XL...We need that GBA slot.
