I was playing my Pokemon Blue, and I used the Missingno glitch and swam on the edge of Cinnabar. Although I encountered a Level 62 Wartortle. It took me forever to catch, and when I did, I leveled it up once and it automatically went to 100, then when it went to level 100 it had lost stats, from a bout 300 HP to 200 Hp.

That is very weird. Try doing it other areas like viridian forest and try to get a bulbasaur and a cave for charmander. Its worth a shot!

Are you sure it wasn't level 162?

Try doing the glitch again, and note its level this time.

The MissingNo glitch is a very interesting coded problem. Any Pokemon that you catch off the coast of Cinnabar will have a problem similar to that. The level up to 100, with the stat reduction, is a common problem. I believe there is another topic that has MUCH more information about the glitch. I don't know how it relates specifically to your Wartortle, but I'm sure there is some documentation there that will help you.

If I find the topic, I will link it. (Or I could be thinking of the Mew Glitch... :ugeek: )

Yes, just like DNA said, CHECK THE LEVEL! Level 162 seems more realistic.

Use Rare Candies to level it up. I will return to lvl 100 if you level it normally. I have a MissingNo level 250! xD

And use it only for battles with friends, where it cant level up :)
