Have you guys noticed that the level gap between Erika's highest leveled pokemon, Victrebel and Vileplume, and Koga's leveled pokemon, Weezing is 14 levels in RB. That's a huge difference between back to back gym leaders from 29 to 43. And in Yellow, the gap between Erika's lv32 Gloom and Koga's lv50 Venomoth is 18 levels? That's an even bigger jump. Even if there's a pretty good amount of trainers between Erika in Koga on route 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 as well as in Pokemon Tower and the Fuschia Gym, if you have a 5 or 6 pokemon party its definitely hard to make up. Even if its not exactly necessary to be at or above those exact levels when you face Koga, failure to be at a safe trailing distance of those levels can lead you to being behind for the rest of the game. So has that level gap ever concerned you?

That gap in Yellow was hell during my nuzlocke. What's even more deadly than Koga is a random trainer in his gym with a beastly scary Hypno. It destroyed half my team, including my bro Raticate Jacky. That level jump is deadly.

I wonder why such a huge gap? Weezing is a difficult Pokemon to take out and Poison isn't that bad of a typing.

I guess they just wanted to make it very annoying. By the way, I played Blue today and encountered a Lv. 62 Wartortle which I have yet to know why....

Wow... That is such an awesome glitch.

It's the Missingo glitch. Talk to the man teaching how to catch pokemon, then swim on the direct east coast of Cinnabar. I was looking for a Missingo but ran into Wartortle.

We have a Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Advance SP, DS Lite, DSi, and soon the 3DS. I once went to Germany and played my relative's German Pokemon Yellow.

Yeah, I got into Pokemon when I was in preschool. So I can tell Gens 1-3 Pokemon just by the sound they make when they enter battle.

I sometimes have trouble with Pokemon that sound similar. I think it's Marowak and Hitmonlee that piss me off.

Pokemon of the same evolution line give me trouble. Especially the starters

Post subject:  Re: a tough gap

I can tell all the starters apart. Except maybe not Chikorita and evos.
