Am I the only person here who thinks using all legendaries for their team is uber-cheap? Cause I faught a guy with all legendaries and he owned me so quickly it hurts, even with my high-rated team. I need some opinions please?

Fact: I clicked this topic expecting an interesting question.
Opinion: Team w/ nothing but legendaries is very hard, yet still beatable.

That really depends, Dragonair. Which legendaries were they, and what levels?

A lot of people think that ledgendaries, well some, are very Uber. I personally don't use them, though I still think they are cool, and I come up with ways in defeating them. It really depends what you call uber. I think everything is put into four uber catagories:

SuperUber:

Kyogre
Deoxys (FireRed one)
Mewtwo
Slaking (without Traunt)

Uber:

Groudon
Rayquaza
Deoxys (rest of them)
Lati@s
Jirachi
Ho-oh
Lugia
Mew
Celebi

Semi-Uber:
Regi's
LegendBirds
LegendBeasts

NearlyUber:
Slaking (with Traunt)
Metagross
Salamence
Tyranitar
Dragonite

I'm not sure if Celebi counts as an 00ber, But i'm pretty sure Groudon is considered Super 00ber, especially with Swords Dance (Like mine)

I didn't know you could get a Slaking without Traunt.

I don't really care about legendaries unless it's like: {kyogre}{groudon}{mewtwo}{suicune}{mew}{rayquaza} Vs. regular pokes

Either use Hardware (gameshark etc) or use a move like SkillSwap.

If it's in the game, it's in the game. Altough I would advice trainers to be a bit more original, makes the game more fun for them and for their opponents.

Wouldn't it be awesome if Nintendo made a Pokemon game where say every 100 or so hours, (that you're on your game), the background changes to look like the four seasons, Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn.

For isnstance, in Winter, the rivers could freeze over, and you could skate over them, and the grass has a layer of snow on it, looking like the place where you collect soot and/or ash on Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, but white obviously. And the trees are bare, and some pokemon are hibernating, and your character wears a coat/trousers and a hat.

100 or so hours later, (in Spring), the ice melts, the trees get back their leaves, and new flowers grow, and pokemon come out of their hibernation, and everything outside is in a shade of yellowy green.

In summer, the grass grows long, and your character changes into different clothes, i.e. shorts.

Then in Autumn, the trees go bare and their leaves fall on the ground, orangey coloured, your character wears slightly warmer clothes.

Then we're back to Winter.

But, the technology may not be sufficient enough to carry all of the data on one GBA sized cartridge, (you may have two in one pack), and you swap between the two somehow. I had this idea when I was biking to school today. :D :D

But hey, wouldn't that be so cool?

No, but could you put it into a new topic called: "Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter"?

Here's the thing. A game like pokemon is so variable, that although there ARE tiers of pokemon strength, they can be overcome. Namely in their movesets. Many of the "uber" pokemon have glaring weaknesses, or can at least be beaten easily. Especially with the new EV system. A mewtwo, for example, will more than likely have stats placed in Speed and Special Attack, leaving defenses relatively open. Also, some movesets (i.e. Kyogre) have pokemon that resist most, if not all, moves (Shedinja and Lanturn come to mind) The point is that these "ubers" are tough, but that just means you need a better approach to fighting them. Knowing your opponent's team is JUST as important as knowing your own.
