I guess I should complain about this 1 before it is game time... Audino = Note that this name is suppose to be Tabunne's english name, how the hell can I except that besides just ignoring it which I will?...it is a terrible name & when I saw it, I had to look at the species, & then think about it long & hard to determine that it was in fact Tabunne that they were referring to, the hell did they get Audino from anyway, not anywhere good, that's for sure...but I will still love Tabunne, even if the person who came up with it's english name in the end did not cause they couldn't have under the circumstances, meh... I'm too used to the bad names by now so I won't go over any others, this 1 just had to be done though so... |

Going by what Bulbapedia says: Audio (referring to its hearing abilities) + "I dunno" The Japanese name followed a similar idea, "tabun" ("many are heard") + "tabun ne" ("maybe"). |

Cofagrigus is probably the worst possible name that TCPi could come up with, I mean it cant be put on the GTS without a nickname due to the new name censors\ Sawk and Throh: so unoriginal i dont know where to begin Also I dont like Tepig's name in my opinion it could've been better names |

Well... I try not to be too critical of the new names considering this is a different team handling the names than our usual Treehouse guys. But... I really have problems with quite a lot of them: - Simisage and Simisear: The whole "Simi" prefix thing works with the pre-evos and Simipour, but with these two... not so much. - Deerling: REALLY? Couldn't find a better name than "Deerling", TPCi? - Stoutland: Much more potential here. - Roggenrola: HUH HUH! Get it, guys?! It sounds like "Rock n' Roll!" HUH HUH! That's so funny and creative... except it's not. - Woobat: Why? Just... why? Koromori is aweosme, but now its name reminds me of DERPFACE WOOPER every time I see it. - Drilbur: ... No comment. - Gurdurr: HUH HUH! Get it, guys?! It sounds like "girder", which is what Gurdurr is holding! HUH HUH! - Timburr: HUH HUH! Get it, guys?! It sounds like "timber"! HUH HUH! Seeing a pattern, here? - Throh: No. ... Just, no. - Dwebble, Crustle, Scarggy, and Scrafty: Seriously, WHAT THE HECK, TPCi?! - Fraxure: Congratulations. You misspelled an actual word and made it a name. YOU'RE SO ORIGINAL. - Golurk: No comment here. - Swanna: Again, no comment. And of course, let's not forget all the terrible portmanteaus: Pignite, Watchog, Liepard, Pidove, Sandile, Trubbish, Ducklett, Elektrik, SHELMET, Hydreigon. And finally... the worst of them all: BEARTIC. Now here is they REALLY dun goofed. I'm assuming they unintentionally misspelled "Arctic" for this one, which is just incompetence. I find it difficult to imagine they did it on purpose, since they should realize that "Bearctic" clearly has a much better ring to it. |

I understand your issue with Beartic, but otherwise, wtf were you expecting? Names that have no relation to what the pokemon resemble? I mean, what do you understand as origfinal? Couldn't you complain about any of the 649 names like that? |

In my opinion they could have done a whole lot whole lot worse and i'm not usually one to moan but here are are the ones I have a gripe with Whirlpede the biggest offender i see what they were going for but come you need to be more original than that and it just sounds silly. Dwebble I mean come on that is just stupid because a. it's shell is more than a pebble ans Dwe just makes it sound horrible. I do not have a good alternative Audino: I understand audino's name but don't like it Frillish: frillish wtf are you going for Nintendo I don't get it all to me it is just a nonsense english name. and think it is stoopid this is "double o stupid" which is worse than, "u stupid". Zwelious: yet again I don't get it but have no other ideas either it is a two headed dark type dragon i'm not sure what 10 or less letter name could work dubagon misspelling of double, proper spelling of dubious and agon to signify it is a Dragon that to doubagon vice versa on the spelling and misspelling genosect sounds alot better then genesect because it sounds more robotic. |
