Hi, I'm playing Ruby, and I just wonder how to get the national dex, since it itsn't told in the walkthrough, and in the emerald walkthrough it tells you to talk to prof. Birch, but he just asks how many pokemon I caught... thanx, Ard |

In Ruby & Sapphire you get the national dex as soon as you receive a Pokemon that isn't native to the Hoenn region. So basically, you can get the national dex as soon as you're able to trade. |

That's right. I mean, when I defeated the Elite Four without getting more than 60 Pokemon in my Pokedex in Sapphire, I was worried that I wasn't going to get a National Pokedex. So, I went there, and asked Birch. All he said was like, "How many have you caught?" and stuff like that. And then I was training my Golbat near Fortree a little later, and it grew. And evolved into Crobat. I was like, "WTF? Is this a glitch? I don't have a National Dex!" And then I got the girl ranger (the one with Roselia and Gloom) to battle me. She had a Bellossom instead of a Gloom! And then I looked at my Pokedex, and saw that I had the National Dex. That was before I joined Psypoke, so I thought it was some weird glitch.
