Ive been headbutting all over route 29. i know its not the only route. but i know it the best
soooooo is there like a specific tree that heracross are located in or is just completely random?

sadly its random. You should be able to find some in Azela though.....

It's not random it depends upon the area you are headbutting. Like to get a Heracross, you need to headbutt a tree in a mountainy area. You also have a chance of finding Spearow (common) and Aipom (not so common). Heracross is pretty rare though.

best place to try for a Heracross: Route 42
I think 43 and 44 work just as well, though, since they're considered "mountain"
