Or will it? If the uniottter is real I will definitely go with Tsutaja because now that I look at it better I don't really think it's gonna be poison. Grass/Dragon all the way..

Grass/Dragon will be one of the most favorite starter, probably. And it could attract some fantards as well. And once more, no more Grass/Poison!

fire fighting, grass flying, water rock, it's gonna happen.

Wait, how could it be a Water/Rock? I possibly see it as a Water/Ice rather than Water/Rock.

well you could see it as water rock if you were looking at the armor that the third evo has or the whole shell Idea, but it will more probably be a water psychic as it's second evo is the meditation pokemon and the have a psychic pokemon fetish in this gen, and I say grass flying because it would complete the second triangle nd I would love to see a GOOD grass/flying pokemon

Yeah, just read about it. And i think the idea of Grass/Flying are good, not as great as Grass/Dragon, but pretty good.

that... actually sounds pretty cool! and plausible, to boot. no, wait a second, why would a snake be able to fly?? i think the only argument i have for this is....

The Flying Snake.

Oh, yeah, it exists (and would be an interesting basis for a Pokemon, imo). but yeah, those ideas sound pretty cool. but, there doesn't have to be a second triangle. Gen IV was the first one that did that, if i'm not mistaken.

um, Rex09, of the three starters, it's the western one. it lives in asia. see the conection. but i gota idea while looking at the sight, how about Grass/Steel. it has silver on it too? it could be a cool possibility.

Post subject:  Re: Starters' Types?

so obviouly a flying snake doesn't make much sense, but niether does an electric mouse, and yes I would rather see a grass/dragon starter but thats not really going to happen, and a grass flying starter wouldn't really fly it would be more like garyados

Post subject:  Re: Starters' Types?

No, if it will be a Grass/Flying, i hope it would be Charizard-like, not Gyarados.

Post subject:  Re: Starters' Types?

While we're on the topic of Gyrados they might as well give it a Water/Dragon typing instead of Water/Flying since it does learn dragon type moves. And the prospect of a Grass/Flying isn't all that bad

Seasnake? Grass/Water?

Author:  Dark_Swampert [ Sun Sep 12, 2010 5:44 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: Starters' Types?

That is good but on starters would defeat the purpose of the starter "triangle"..... plus anybody remember {lotad} {lombre} {ludicolo}

Post subject:  Re: Starters' Types?

How could it be a Grass/Water? I don't see that it could be a Grass/Water, and when i remembered, no starter could get a type of another starter.

Well it's the Grass Snake Pokemon, so maybe pure Grass? But definitely not Flying (as neat as that would be).

The otters need to either stay pure Water, or gain Rock, Steel or ... idk lol. I'm going off the designers' idea of it being kinda like a samurai in how it uses its shell.

... That darn pig.

D:

and that pig is darned, indeed. But for mijumaru's evo, since it's based off of a sword/katana/samurai, i'd bet on steel or rock. Rock would be cool, i don't think we've had that typing before *checks* okay, kabutops, omastar, etc..... but even so, new moves and.

rex09 your last post in the News Thread gave me the desire to look this interview up.
Here's a snippet about the starters. I thought it would best go in this thread.
------------------------

Sugimori: The 3 Starter Pokemon and the Legendary Pokemon were a lot of trouble.

Tagami: A lot of trouble. I think of Tsutaaja all the time.

Sugimori: Of course, it was determined that the 3 Starters would be Grass, Fire, and Water-type Pokemon. We

That, was, great! I never thought that there was some kind of that conversation on that place. Anyway, the idea of symbols in this game are great, and Nintendo really get a good idea in making the starter this time.

Post subject:  Re: Starters' Types?

If that interview does confirm the final evolutions as fact then I am going to guess that their typing will be the same as the Gen 4 Starters' typings as Pokabu's evolution has already went in this direction unfortunetely...

If it doesn't however, then I guess this;

Pokabu's final evolution will be Fire/Fighting or maybe by chance will change again upon evolution (think about that)

Mijumaru's final evolution will be maybe Water/Rock or Water/Steel or just simply Water solo typing (I can't see it any other way for some reason)

Tsutaaja's final evolution will be Grass solo typing, Grass/Dragon, Grass/Ground, Grass/Steel, Grass/Poison (please no...) or Grass/Psychic(think about that)
(I have assumptions for the Grass/Electric or Grass/Dark combinations but the 2nd 1 has been dropped due to how Tsutaaja's 1st stage evolution looks color wise & the first 1 is highly unlikely)

I really have no clue what Tsutaaja's last evolution's typing will be but please don't be Grass/Poison or Grass/Ground cause it just isn't a good idea imo...

4 more days to launch oh I can not wait!...
