Post subject:  How long have you been playing HG/SS?
So . . . I hadn't really been paying much attention to the number of hours played (shown on your Trainer's card). But the other day I noticed that I was over 400!!! And I still have to beat Blue! I'm curious as to how many hours some of the rest of you have racked up so far?

Yeah, I'm pretty hooked . . .

Feel like I was speeding through the game now lol.
I have 86 hours so far, and all 5 trainer card stars.

It felt like I was playing for 200 hours though.

the only reason my game time is around 100 hours is because I enter the GTS then close my DS, and when you do that, you game keeps tracking hours...

I have exactly 273:49 of time played on my Soul Silver game & I have 3 Stars on my Trainer Card & still 4 Legendaries to catch, 3 of which are runners & then I have other things I need done...congrats to those who somehow got all 5 Trainer Stars on their Trainer Cards before getting anywhere near the amount of hours I have on their HGSS game...I haven't even unlocked all the PokeWalker Routes yet...meh...

Whoa - whoa - whoa! I've missed something along the way. How does one get the trainer stars? I just looked and I have one, no idea how! ROFL

1.enter hall of fame
2.finish national dex
3.win 100 wins in a row at the battle tower
4.open the friendship room in the pokeathlon dome
5.get your first crown on one of your pokemon

thats how to get stars

8 hours because im playing sapphire (main) and also have emerald, yellow, crystal, pearl, hg and ss to play through :/

But some routes can only be unlocked through Wi-Fi events.

So if you can't get Wi-Fi on your DS, you'd be permanently short one star.

That would still work, because they still make you complete the Pokedex but Events don't count, right?

Oh and over 100 hours, I have to check but I'll edit when i check. I just sped through SS and easily caught all the legendaries. Just Latios when he keeps running around Kanto.

I kinda ignored SS for a while and I'm playing HG right now. It has maybe 50 hours, but i have to check. But I haven't beaten the Pokemon League in it but I have 8 badges from Johto all collected.

Ah, now see, I didn't know this. That could be a big part of the reason I'm now at 483 hrs. I'm in the habit of playing a little bit during commercials, closing the DS during the show, and picking it up again at the commercial. I've also done this at work when it's slow (play while it's slow, close it up when things come up, etc . . .)

It will only stay on when closed if you are connected to Wi-Fi though. I.E. in the wifi room, or connected at the GTS. If you are in the normal game and it's closed, it is in standby mode and will not count time.
