Hello everyone, my first post here :) (awesome site this is)

Here is my question, apologies if this has been answered before, but I went through all the search results for my query, and no success...

I have just bred a Riolu to have Crunch (bred my lucario with rattata with crunch). It took me a good 100 eggs (no exaggeration) to finally get Adamant nature. However, it's ability was Steadfast, not Inner Focus, which is the one I wanted. I want to try and get a Riolu with Adamant AND Inner Focus, but I do not want to repeat the arduous trial and error process. If I bred my current Riolu with Crunch, Adamant and Inner Focus (which is Male) with a female Lucario (with nature and ability that I DO NOT want), if my Riolu held an Everstone would I:

a) have a better chance of retaining my Adamant Nature
b) be able to pass down Crunch to my offspring

Psypokes has an entire section on breeding, but the best way to ensure you have an Adamant nature is by giving your Riolu an Everstone.

While holding a "power" item, it will automatically pass on that IV to the baby.

There is no way to affect the ability of the Pokemon that comes out of an egg.

I'm guessing you ment to say ability but there is a way to raise the chances

If the Female is holding an everstone then there is a 50% chance, If a ditto is used the ditto is always the female

You can slightly increase the chance of geting a certian ability by breeding two of the same pokemon, with the female having the ability you want(rasies chance from 50% to 75%)

So basically you'd already have to have a female with adamant nature and inner focus ability, thus this is only good for getting better IVs
