in terms of RBY battle effectiveness its gotta be every time, no contest.
best stats, great movepool, very hard to KO. the speed and special on this pokemon are monstrous, and it has the most effective type in the game, weak only against bug type but since there are no strong bug attacks, it essentially has no weakness. also recover and STAB psychic. and in case that much special wasn't enough for you, it learns amnesia too, so you're thunderbolts and ice beams are now sweeping whole teams that said, everything has a counter, but mewtwo is the most effective against the widest range of opponents. it is for this reason that i hate mewtwo. |

Best pokemon in the laziness category. Slowpoke and Slowbro tie for second. Best HM slave - Mew, undoubtedly considering it can learn any TM or HM. |

In the first generation was of course, Mewtwo . It has the best stats in the first gen. Come close to the second was Snorlax  and Dragonite .

This part of the forum is the 'Kanto Region' and is specific to R/B/Y/G games only so Feebas isn't really an option since it never got introduced until third generation R/S/E. I think by 'What is the best Pokemon ever?' They basically mean out of the original 151. |
