Post subject:  Titles of the Generation V Games?
I was wondering what the titles of the two new Generation V games would be.

If they went with the more traditional Color titles, Pokemon Black and Pokemon White would by likely. However, Pokemon Light and Pokemon Shadow would probably be more likely because Black and White might be considered racist. Perhaps Crimson and Jade would work too. Or, if they went with Gemstones, Amethyst and Topaz would be interesting names.

I'd like think Light and Shadow, But you have to think of the third game. It really could be anything.

I'm throwing out Jade and Crimson because they simply don't work together and are not of the same thing. I am also throwing out Amethyst and Topaz because we have already had a Gem/Ore generation.

Another thing we have to think about is the Province name. It will probably end with an O sound. Nampoh, Spagoh, Motoh, something of the sort.

it probrably just a remake of crystal version except with celebi insted of suicune

Its hard to tell what they would name it, but the definitely would have to have a Theme.

Colours: Red, Blue, Yellow, (Green)

Metals: Gold and Silver, + *Crystal*

Gems: Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald

Jewels: Pearl and Diamond, + *Platinum*

*titles*-->These titles should be switched in my opinion, just so they match the others. Like Platinum would fit in better with Gold and Silver, and Crystal would fit better as a set with Pearl and Diamond.

But what I'm saying is that there would have to be some theme like Light and Shadow, but there would also have to be something that links to it for a sequel,(although I can't really think off the top of my head what would fit in with that).

A more appropriate complement to Crimson would be Azure, if we're to follow the example of the first games. But really, returning to colors like that is a bit too unoriginal. It's simply saying "Red and Blue" in more colorful (LOL?) language.

The next 3 generations kind of drifted away from that, as they are natural resources, even found in a cave/mine. If generation 5 is to follow, I predict some sort of rock theme would be put into place. Marble, Gypsum, Obsidian, Pumice, Limestone, or Sandstone versions are my most likely guesses. Possibly Obsidian and Marble versions, to go along with black vs. white and dark/shadow vs. light (as most previous naming conventions seem to prefer something tangible).

Thinking about it Light and Shadow might be an unlikely choice since the Shadow Pokemon in XD may confuse some of the buyer so there for it
may be a problem for the being that name. There is always the possibility of it but, Jade and Crimson is a good choice but since the era now is
in "Jewels" I think that Topaz (not the best...) and Amethyst (...) would be the best choice. But its up to you to decide :D

Doubtful. I think that if they were going to have a light and dark theme, then pokemon obsidian and pokemon marble would be more likely. I suspect we'll all get it wrong though.

we're not ever going to actually guess what titles they go for. it seems to be pretty inconsistent, except, they all seem to be colours. Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Pearl, Diamond, Crystal and Platinum are all just shades of Blue/Red/Green/Grey/Pink. If i went on that basis, crimson seems nearly likely, except its not a sexy enough name.

Jade and Opal, maybe... (if they have writer's block and decide to go with precious stones again).

But another, less "solid" theme is probably called for.
I'd like it if they went with Light and Shadow, but then what option would they have for a third name?

I HIGHLY doubt light and shadow because its to...uh...black and white? the differences are much too great. All of the other games went together but light and shadow are too opposing. It would be SOOO cool though.

If I had to guess I'd say it would be.. ok I got nothing....
