I know, right?

Honestly, though, I end up warming up to them all over time.
I HATED half of Gen IV's additions, but after about a year, I could tolerate them.
Now, I'm ok with most. Magnezone excluded, lol.

Looks somewhat like a cross between a werewolf and a mongoose. :)

I dont really think it looks like really any of the pokemon mentioned, especially Lucario. I think Zorua and Zoroark seem pretty original.

hmm I'm gonna say no way. That would mean they would be the first legendaries to evolve if i'm not forgetting anyone.

Phione/Manaphy.. despite not yet knowing the MODE of evolution.. we do know the phione does evolve into manaphy somehow, since they are in the same evolutionary family.

It should be noted that according to Prof. Rowan, evolution might be based on maturity or completeness, something legendary pokemon must have as is, which explains the lack of evolution.

This is not true, and NEED not be true.

It's perfectly acceptable to assume that Phione is more akin to mewtwo than it is to magby - IE, it's an "impure clone/offspring" rather than a baby.

Yeah, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that doesn't make any sense. Phione can be found as an egg, just like any other breedable non-gender pokemon.. ie, breeding with ditto.

The mewtwo/mew connection has been purely cannon. Not only that, you cannot get a mew by breeding a mewtwo. Cannon doesn't even provide a basis for that, saying as though Mewtwo is a genetic mutation of mew, not an evolution. Mew and Mewtwo are as completely different species as much related as Luminese and Volbeat when it comes to gameplay.

They have provided so many basis for evolution that it is far more plausable to say that there will eventually be a way to evolve phione into manaphy, than there would be to say that you will be able to breed mews from mewtwo.
