I was thinking, what happens if you trade a pokemon caught in one of kurts special apricorn balls all the way back to D/P, will it just become a standard pokeball, if so when it goes Back to HGSS, does it remain a pokeball or go back to being a kurt ball

I'm going to be optimistic & assume that unlike the previous Johto games trading system that the games you can trade with (DPPt but mainly Platinum) will have Kurt's Special Pokeballs put into it's system...that way trading pokemon with Special Pokeballs won't have to change the Pokeball that it was captured in to something else...actually I hope this turns out to be true cause Johto has the overall best Pokeball collection... If not however I only see the Special Pokeball changing to a certain one Pokeball after trade that you cannot obtain otherwise in Platinum like a Special Pokeball made only for this one purpose like the Cherish Ball being only for Nintendo Event Pokemon... |

They show up in Diamond, Pearl and Platinum as regular Pokeballs. |

Then it's the special pokeball. Oddly enough, however, if you trade a pokemon from HG/SS with the ribbon you get from the pokethlon, it shows up in DPPt. |
