I can't trade between my Red version, and my Fire Red or Emerald version (those being the only pkmn games I have) but I can trade between my FR and E version so the cable works just fine. when I try to trade, it says "Welcome to the Cable Club!...." and blah blah and yeah it doesn't let me trade. I'm in Cerulean city I believe, the Second Gym. So whats wrong?

It may sound kind of weird, but you answered your own question with your problem. Red version is not compatible with FRLG. 'Nuff said. Welcome to Psypoke!
