Aww...what's wrong with Swellow lol?...Oh & Silith, I do like what you did with your Normal Type team...used to do 1 type teams when I used to play Sapphire...it was clearly not time for me to do that yet apparently lol...

I totally did one-type teams in Gen III, too!
Sapphire: {swampert} {claydol} {camerupt} {flygon} {donphan} {golem}
Ruby: {blaziken} {skarmory} {tropius} {pelipper} {xatu} {altaria}
(Blaziken doesn't totally count, but I can never NOT use a starter, based on principle)

But this time around..
SS: {typhlosion} {victreebel} {quagsire} {clefable} {honchkrow} {machamp} , {venusaur} and {swampert} will replace {victreebel} and {quagsire} after Red
HG: {meganium} {crobat} {yanmega} {pinsir} {blastoise} {blaziken}

<3 <3 <3

I'm also planning on raising a team of my Favorites, regardless of evolution, stats, movepools, etc.
Just the Pokemon I'd love to have with me in real life where those things didn't matter.

Well...unlike you I didn't have too many favorites so my teams always ended up faultering at some point in my adventure...& I made a Ground Team too which I actually plan on bringing into reality - Dugtrio & + Gliscor...it will look like this;

{gliscor} {whiscash} {mamoswine} {torterra} {camerupt} {rhyperior} (shockenly people don't get that this pokemon's a Ground Type with Rock as it's 2nd Type...)

And you've done a good job of evening out the Ground-type weaknesses.

Really?!, I did...heh, didn't notice that at all...& yeah, I enjoyed putting together the Gym Leader who had this team so much that I decided why not actually make a team like this...I just need to do something else first...can't wait...

I'll proably get soul silver since I want to start over on heart gold but don't want to lose all my pokemon.

Corsola
Ursaring
Rapidash
Meganium
Unknown*

*By Unknown, I mean the pokemon that look like shapes.

Goning to try something unusual. Never really used anyone of these pokes before so it'll be fun. Going to be a challenge. Although the only people I'm really worried about is the elite four and lance. Mabye Clair.

As I ain't as good as others at it I say this...go to the psydex & figure out all the types that have a decent number of different secondary types among the pokemon of that type & choose a type from what you have...

So I've raised a few teams over the years, and seeing as how I've beaten HG and SS, I'm considering raising them again in Johto...

My original team for Diamond. (I literally caught stuff that looked cool on my First playthrough, and this team won, so, much! I have yet to best it.)
{torterra} {bronzong} {drifblim} {lopunny} {garchomp} {gastrodon} (the Gastrodon was blue, though)
Based off of the people you escort in Sinnoh: {lucario} {alakazam} {arcanine} {blissey} {metagross} {garchomp}
Birds: {blaziken} {articuno} {xatu} {empoleon} {staraptor} {honchkrow}
Actual Flying-Types: {charizard} {mantine} {tropius} {skarmory} {gliscor} {crobat}
Most Improved: {cloyster} {clefable} {hitmonchan} {blissey} {aerodactyl} {kingdra} (I, of course, realized after the fact I had a big weakness to Fighting)
Pretty Women: {vespiquen} {gardevoir} {lopunny} {froslass} {milotic} {roserade}
Slice'n'Dice: {gallade} {kabutops} {scizor} {sceptile} {garchomp} {drapion}

Ohhhh...so you don't exactly plan on takling a team with all pokemon of a specific Type like Fire & Water per say but more like generally themed teams...well, for my 2 cents, your Flying Team would work well Type wise...

first it was {fearow} {feraligatr} {machamp} {flaaffy} {nidoking} {arcanine}

Then {yanmega} {feraligatr} {raikou} {nidoking} {arcanine}

Next {yanmega} {feraligatr} {raikou} {nidoking} {ho-oh} {jynx}

And now {feraligatr} {umbreon} {latias} {raikou} {ho-oh} {nidoking}

it is still changing...

as u can tell i beat the elite 4 round 1 and 2 just not red :( yet

To be honest, I'm trying to use this to form my team, because I know how to train properly and what have you, but I really am struggling to be entertained by Pokemon still. (worst nightmare, right?)

as for single type teams:
platnum: Feraligatr, Starmie, Kabutops, Shapredo, Peliper (hm), Golduck (hm)
I got the totodile Ev trained, then used it and the staryu, got the kabuto with the right nature, then sent it to my pearl when my first ds broke, so I couldn't trade back, and I lost interest, and the now feraligatr was unstoppable... EV training ruined the game for me

the other teams I wanted to use were:
{lucario} {metagross} {scizor} {magnezone} {skarmory} {empoleon}
{armaldo} {aerodactyl} {kabutops} {tyranitar} {sudowoodo} {magcargo} (a shame these one weren't used, but oh well)

Because I lost My heart gold and gave up looking for it( its the size of a postage stamp and I spent a week looking for it) I got a new Heartgold version

I recommend a strong Physical attacker, just to cover your bases.

How about a Scyther? It gives me a strong attacker, plus a flying type addition that I don't have.

Narrowed it down to Scyther/Kingler/Golem.
