I just knew that Amphy learned Signal Beam is all.

I love that it can learn Power Gem. Doesn't do anything for covering its weaknesses, but hey, it's one of the two Rock-type attacks with 100% accuracy, and the more powerful of the two.

my future team has changed to something like this now, {typhlosion}, {meganium}, {pidgeot}, {hypno}, {poliwrath} / {politoed}, and {ampharos}

I once had a Masquerain that totally took people off-guard.
It knew Blizzard, Sunny Day, Solarbeam and Hyper Beam

Lanturn also learns Signal Beam, and has righteous amounts of HP. Anyways, right now in my HeartGold I've just gotten to Kanto. I beat the E4 with {typhlosion}, {ho-oh}, Shiny {jirachi}, {gengar}, Red {gyarados}, and {sandslash} which I admit was a very fun team, but for Kanto I'm going to try and mix it up a little.

I'm using HeartGold as my "uber-game", and SoulSilver will be where I can do some more eclectic playthroughs, like an all Dark Team. :D :D


Edit: I just spent a half hour trying to remember how to place the pokemon emotes. Curse you CAPS!!!! :P

how do you place the little poke pictures??

and, i am going to do an all water type silver game :D

This is how;

1. put the pokemon name inside {} ...
2. make sure it is at least one space on the left & right side of the {} ...
3. make sure the pokemon's name is spelled right...
4. confirm { bellossom } = {bellossom} ...Oh & I saparated the {} from the name via spaces on the left & right so you could see what's suppose to be done...disregard those spaces...
5. PROFIT?!

So far my final team is looking like this {gengar} {kingdra} {magmortar} {electivire} and {tyranitar}

I chose {meganium} as my starter, but don't know if I want to keep it in my final 6. Any other suggestions to round out my team?

Annnnnnd make sure all the letters are lower case. Capitalizing the first letter was what I was doing wrong for that half hour. :D

I've actually found {meganium} to be a rather solid player. Even stats all the way around, and you can teach it Aromatherapy, Synthesis, Safeguard, a few stat-inducing moves. You have plenty of type coverage in those five, so I think a tank/healer would be perfect!

I couldn't really think of a team, so I am using {feraligatr}, {ampharos}, {toxicroak}, {arceus}, {dragonite}, and {ho-oh}. I might want to get rid of Toxicroak and put Muk in instead, I guess. Ho-oh might change to Arcanine or Entei as well. The only thing is that I don't want to use Arceus because of the fact it's from the next next generation, but at the same time, it's an awesome pokemon... I don't know. I don't really like having 2 legendaries in either... I don't know, so far I just have Croconaw, Flaffy, and Dratini, so any suggestions? I've been spending too much time trying to make my team, haven't been actually leveling. :D

You can find {aipom} by Headbutting and {ambipom} is pretty fast, strong and fun if you have Technician.
{swinub} is readily available ( {mamoswine} might as well be legandary).
I'm raising a {pinsir} that has Mold Breaker and I feel like I'm cheating, it's so good. Also, Technician {scizor} is pretty bomb.
{fearow} {victreebel} are highly underrated, as are {hypno} {miltank} {lickilicky} {tangrowth}

Just some ideas =)

What's funny is that I was considering nearly each of the pokemon you posted. XD I finally decided on my team, but still thank you a lot.

Instead of the Toxicroak, I decided to change it into a Regigigas. I would go for Rampardos, but Rock/Dark isn't the best combination, and his other stats aren't really as nice. Ambipom seems nice, but I don't really like normal types, it took me awhile to finally just use my Regigigas. I used a Technician Scizor before, in Platinum, which is why I chose to not use it... but it's still tempting.

What's special about Mold Breaker on a Pinsir, though? I understand what Mold Breaker does, but I don't really understand. :s

I know you said you understand, but I'll briefly explain it anyway.
Mold Breaker makes it so if an attack used by Pinsir (or Rampardos) would normally be nullified or hindered in any way by its foe's ability,
Pinsir (or Rampardos) ignores that ability.
Pretty freakin rad.

The only abilities that are really working out nicely are:
Levitate (it can learn Dig and Earthquake),
Sand Veil and Snow Cloak are ignored (so Pinsir attacks are still regularly accurate),
Wonder Guard (in case you ever encounter a Shedinja lol),

It should be noted that any stat-nullifying abilities (Immunity, Limber, Insomnia, etc) are ignored during the turn Pinsir attacks, but immediately get rid of the status afterward.
Example: Pinsir used Toxic on Zangoose, Zangoose becomes badly poisoned!, Zangoose is immediatly healed after the turn ends.

I taught my Pinsir Dig as soon as I caught it, and absolutely obliterated Morty's Gym, because he ignored the ghosts' Levitate.

I just hope that these teams work. I just bought SS and will be playing it as soon as it arrives.

After thinking about it for awhile, I decided to change. 3 legendaries, with 2 that aren't from that generation seemed messed up, so... {feraligatr} {ampharos} {houndoom} {ambipom} {mamoswine} {dragonite}. I have 3 guys that are weak to Fighting type, though, which really annoys me, even though I know I can easily just teach them moves to counter it. Well, now I'm sure I'm done, so thanks a load, I wouldn't have thought of using Mamoswine if you hadn't told me about him, nor would I have reconsidered Ambipom.

And I get why the Pinsir could be pretty awesome now, Levitate and over abilities like that, a long with Magnet Rise or things really do get annoying, so I see how much of a benefit that could be.

Level 67 Ho-oH
hp 246 attack 189 defense 159 sp attack 173 sp def 246 speed 159

ho-oh is there so i can fly from place to place

other three spots are for pokemon i am leveling up to breed
right know i an leveling up Infernape and Typhlosion's fisrt son
currently a
monferno Level 28 hp 78 attack 55 defense 43 sp attack 51 sp def 43 speed 59

and i got the pkrs
