ok, now sure if anyone knows this but i was looking at gamestops site and i saw that the release date was April 1st 2010! Now, this date may change but I'm just telling what i saw.

Yeah, I saw that in the HG/SS News thread.

Everyone thinks it's odd, but to me it seems perfectly normal that ordinary products get released on April Fool's Day.
Or maybe I'm just the world's biggest April Fool? :wink:

I agree with DarkAriados. There is nothing odd about it coming out on April Fools Day. That day fits the time frame that games usually come out, so I say we roll with it.

Odd.. I have seen other sites reporting April 25th. April Fools Day seems like an attempt at a prank.

My prediction has been April 15th, but the 25th seems likely enough to me to be the actual day.

Okay. I'm confused now because there are still a number of sites where the exact date hasn't been confirmed. I say we just wait this one out until we get some official information.

Well I am leaning more to the April 25th on this one. The report saying it will be out on April 1st just seems a little obvious that it is a prank. I mean, to me, GS reporting it on April 1st screams PRANK ALERT!!

I'm pretty sure it doesn't make sense for an April Fool's joke to be discussed now, the beginning of October.

Poe is right, you can't make an April Fools joke prior to April.

It's a no-no to make any kind of April Fool's joke outside of the permitted hours.
You can only make an April Fool's joke between midnight and midday on April 1, otherwise you're the April Fool. That's the rule.

So if the announcement turns out to be an April Fool's joke, it's the person who made the announcement who is an April Fool.

April 25th might be the release date in another country, such as Australia, where the games are generally released shortly after they come out in the USA. Just a thought - I seem to recall that Pokemon Platinum came out in the USA on March 22, 2009, and in Australia it came out in mid-April.

If it is announced that it will be out on April 1st it is more than likely going to be an April Fool's Day joke.

Actually the best April Fool's Day jokes are planned way in advance (like the South Park episode in which we find out Cartman's Father).

This is getting ridiculous. :frustrated: People seem to be forgetting that April 1 is not just April Fool's Day. Yes, there are jokes, but otherwise it's just an ordinary day.

I'm not going to bother arguing about this.
