I only sometimes give my Pokemon Nicknames. When I was younger, I used to play my Silver game and just Nickname name my Pokemon with a -y at the end of what they were. Like for Pidgey, I would name it Birdy, or Rattata I would name Ratty. For HootHoot I named it Hooty. and for Chikorita, I named it Chikority |

I never give nicknames anymore to my pokemon i think that it is pointless now because i used to ickname every single one of my pokemon that i caught but if you nickname them you cant really trade them but people have been saying that if you nickname your pokemon there stats will be higher and the friendship will go up quicker but i dont think that is true. I just give nicknames for the sake of fun and also it is faster if the nickname is shorter. |

At first I'd name my Pokemon names that are similar to the names in the book series Warriors by Erin Hunter. Such as... -Icewing (Empoleon) -Wolfheart (Lucario) -Bladestar (Gallade) -Stoneface (Golem) Then I gave them Fire Emblem names... -Vanessa (Fearow) -Gilliam (Nidoking) -Knoll (Hypno) I love to listen to the WTF?!'s from my friend when he sees my uber nicknames. =) |

I use to nickname them in gold version and then i stopped and now i want to name them but i don't know what to name them. |
