Do you have the National Dex? Does the person you are trading it too have the National Dex? If neither of you have it, then that is more likely to be the source of your problem. Seeing how you can't evolve a Pokemon that is only in the National Dex until you have it. Though this based of a hypothesis I have developed from Fire Red and Leaf Green, because if you had a Golbat and it leveled up with max happiness, unless you have the National Dex it wouldn't evolve to Crobat.

I don't think that having the National Pokedex matters because I traded an Eevee over to my Pearl game right as soon as I could when I started a new game. I took the Eevee to Eterna Forest and it evolved into Leafeon. Also, to prove that it works, even if a Pokemon needs to hold an item to evolve, my brother and I traded Rhydon with a Protector over to my game that didn't have a National Pokedex, and it still evolved. Later, once I had recieved my National Pokedex, Rhyperior had been recorded in my Pokedex. We also tried that with a Politoad, and it also worked.

Hmm, that is very odd, and having the national dex or not doesn't matter because i traded Porygon w/ upgrade and then Porygon2 w/ dubious disk and i still managed to have a Porygon-z even without the nat dex. (I got the porygon off a friend in case you wondered why i had one before nat dex) But have you tried doing it a second time? might eb something faulty with the game, and you should try trading some other pokemon that evolves holding an item...i.e. magma,electrabuzz...

Its either to do with the national dex or the rhydon you have is just a bad one.

Are you playing Platinum or Diamond/Pearl? If Platinum, a reaper cloth is found on the plateau where the entrance to lake Acuity is (it's on the far right of the plateau). If Diamond/Pearl, follow the link given to you, press Ctrl F, type in 'reaper' and click 'Next'. That will take you straight to the Reaper Cloth. Look to the right. The locations are listed.

Requoting for above post.

ON TOPIC:

Well that is wierd... It should work. Hmm. Maybe try taking off the Proctector and putting a new item on it then switch it back. I did that with my old FR because the game didn't recognize it had the item it needed to evolve.

Get on the cycle path with your bike, one tile left from the furthest right tile of the bridge, then constantly run up and let gravity pull you back down.

Do this for an hour, I guarentee max happiness on whatever you want to do it on. (Pokemon gain +1 happiness for every 255 steps you take.)

Ahhh i see, then just level buneary up?

Would it be okay to use exp.share to level it? or do it using it in a wild encounter?

One level using any method you like is enough. Doing this you can easily evolve pokemon that evolve through happiness by level 2 :)

I had a level 2 Togekiss several weeks ago with air slash, aura sphere, roost & nasty plot. It's around level 90 though now.

Blissey
Espeon
Umbreon
Crobat
Every single "baby" pokemon
Lopunny
Chimeco
Snorlax
Lucario

Off the top of my head <.<

I traded someone a shiny Eevee to evolve because she thought Umbreons were awesome when they were shiny (they are). She played around a bit, got it to full happiness, and levelled it up AT NIGHT like you're supposed to. It proceeded to evolve into an Espeon and she got all mad so now I have to breed her a new one. But can anyone explain to me what happened here? She did it at like 9:00 PM, so it wasn't like on the border between night and day and she just misjudged it.

The DS clock is what's important rather than your real life time, so if the DS clock isn't correctly set that would be a problem.

Either way, as long as she wasn't stupid enough to immideately save the game she can just turn it off and try again later. No problem.
