Swampert
Steelix
Rhydon
Nidoqueen/Nidoking
Camerupt
Flygon
-or-
Claydol
-or-
Groudon
Remember that Groudon is purely Ground. Other than that, it just depends on the type mix.

These are who I would choose for a Ground team.. Groudon - Swampert - Flygon - Whiscash - Steelix - Claydol      
But you could also have Camerupt, Rhydon or Quagsire? |

My suggestion maxes out types, so there's no one weakness throughout the team (because of their "second" type)... However, movesets are up in the air for that team. The only thing you might do with mine (on second thought) is change out a hybrid for Groudon. Considering that Groudon is similar to Camerupt in learning Fire moves, and other than that, it makes it easier to get a type balance... AEPMT

With type-based teams I would always suggest going for a wide variety of dual-type Pokemon, so that your team can remain versatile despite the type restriction. In your case, since you are going to get a Ground team, possible Pokemon you can use include Camerupt, Swampert, Flygon, Claydol, Whiscash, among others.
