I am posting this so that people will realize that finding a shiny IS possible to find and, with enough effort and patience, can be found anywhere.

For Example:

Feebas, Hatched in Mauville City

(I did actually hatch a shiny Feebas in Mauville)


(Also you may include advice on how to improve your chances of catching, or hatching a shiny Pokemon and also what Pokemon you think are at their best as shinies, personally i think Milotic is best shiny)

If you are having trouble finding a shiny then you can also post here and I, or another User (Not a Guest), can help you find it.

I dont quite understand the purpose of this thread, but ok.

I caught a shiny Zubat once, i was EV training in altering cave for one of my pokes (Can't remember which :?) when i found it.

I can't say which shiny i like the most because i've only ever seen a shiny poliwag (Crystal), marill (brother's friend on Ruby?), magikarp (brother's Emerald) and zubat.

i caught a shiny ferow and tentecruel on leafgreen but i also missed a nidorina in the safari zone :frustrated: my friend also caught a shiny lunotune on sapphire

Only 1 way of improving your chances of catching/hatching in 3rd generation: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52180. Calculates the position of the RNG in Emerald.

Several methods exist in DPP - Masuda method, PokeRadar, and the similar RNG calculations.

i found alot (diff games) in ruby i found a gray(or silver) slugma, in fire red i found a red garydos, emerald i found a shroomrish, and a shiny charmander (egg)

Yes, obviously.

Also, I have never caught a shiny, on any game, In my ten years of playing.

Yup.

Shinies: Geodude. Found by using Rock Smash north of Mauville City.
Tentacool. Found by Surfing toward Victory Road.

shinys-gloom,mewtwo,mudkip,numel got her early in the game,rayquaza,swablu then evolved into altaria still shiny,giratina,shaymin,and darkrai

I've found 3 shinies, 1 Shiny {gyarados} from Lake of Rage 1 Shiny {zangoose} , and 1 Shiny {zigzagoon} on Route 104 in Ruby. After 3 hours of letting the game sit, and training I found him. I was filling the rest of my team with pickuppers, so I caught him (yes, him. I seem to have a problem finding females. So far, in an 2 emeralds, 1 ruby, and 4 leafgreen/firered playthroughs I've only had 3 females in my teams one of which being a {nidoqueen}). When I found out he was shiny, I decided to train him up as part of my team, when he evolved to {linoone} he actually became stronger than my {altaria}, {blaziken}, {gardevoir} and {swellow}. The only one better is my Shiny {zangoose} which I found at level 17, and hours of training against them since they give such good exp.

The only shiny I have is a golbat that I found while training. I'd be more proud of it, but shiny golbat looks worse than a regular one.

Ive caught a shiny {electrode}, {poochyena}, {geodude}, and i hatched a shiny {beldum}
with the shiny {electrode} i hoped to god it wouldnt use explosion before i used rain dance to prevent explosions. luckily it used spark the first time around, so my blastoise used rain dance :)

lol, here's one i did not catch. XD it was outside of lilycove, in the grass......i be walking along and i run into latios ( this is after i beat the E4 ) so i right away use mean look ( i happened to have a crobat with mean look in the first slot at the time ) i manage to barely catch it, with only ONE ultra ball left. whew. and then as im walking back to lilycove to check out my latios in the pc ( my party was full ) i run into a......... shiny mightyena! with only one ultra ball....... you can guess how this ended XD. so tell me, what do you think would have been better, had i known i would run into a shiny mightyena after the latios, me catching the shiny, or me catching the latios. lol.

I would suggest saving Latios because you would have had another chance. But seeing as you didn't know about the shiny, it's okay...

As for me, I have a shiny Spinda from Route 115 (?) in Ruby/Sapphire (can't remember which), and a shiny Electrike from Route 113 in Emerald.

After about a bajillion hours of playing GenIII games, I found and caught a Shiny {skarmory} I'm tempted to put it on my team, because I love green!

xaxaxa......i beat you (almost) all!
i have seen and caught 1 shiny tentacruel, 1 shiny gulpin, 1 shiny kecleon, 1 shiny vulpix(i found it at THE BATTLE PYRAMID IN THE BATTLE FRONTIER!!!!!you can imagine how upset i was!) , 1 shiny slugma , 1 shiny sandscrew , 1 shiny smeargle , and the last that don't counts.....the shiny Gyarados in silver and gold......
that's all.....
it's also a pity since i have only emerald ,.............. :(

I have encountered one shiny. I was training my Blaziken on Victory Road in Pokemon Emerald Version. When I encountered a shiny Sableye.

The pokemon I think looks great as a shiny is Ampharos

Yeah...this should be asked in another section of the forum known as the Sinjoh Ruins so I would post it there if you want answers to a question that is referring to HGSS & not RSE which this section is referring to exclusively...

In leaf green south of cerulean where the original daycare is I was going to look for a Meowth boom first thing that popped up SHINY bellsprout, I have A shiny Victreebel I love her she's insanely powerful

Only Pokemon ive ever -seen- is a Rhyhorn in the zafari sone on Ruby.. Luckily I managed to capture it and later evolved it into a shiny Rhydon. I like it but its not really on my team, dont know a good move-set for Rhydon, just trying out different stuff.. One thing I'd been wondering tho, is I recently bought me a DS, not got a game for it yet tho, but what i was wondering, if i train my Rhydon to lvl 100 and then trade it to a SS, HG or whichever game got Rhyperior in it, it will still evolve right? Its nothing preventing a pokemon that evolves during trade (with a specific item) to evolve at lvl 100?

All i was wondering.. thanks in advance..
