okay well i got this lvl 7 zubat in my diamond game. i popped the exp share onto it, and beat the elite four twice until it was a lvl 35 golbat.. and my poketch says it has no hearts on it. i also ride my bike up and down through solaceon town (256 steps = +1 happiness). this has worked for all my previous happiness evolutions,including a charmander i trained up to a lvl 37 charizard through the same process, which has two big hearts. but golbat doesnt show any sign of trying to like me! whats going on? can anyone help me? You could do several things. - Ride around some more with Golbat holding a Sooth Bell - Catch another Zubat or Golbat with a Luxury Ball and then ride around with the Soothe Bell |

In Veilstone and Resort area, you can give him a massage to boost his happiness. I also heard giving pokes moo moo milk, vending drinks will boost happiness, but I'm not 100% on that. |

The way I evolve by happiness is the tried and true sooth bell+biking The leveling was quite unecessary, in fact, it would have been more beneficial to use Proteins/Carbos (or other EV increasing items) on your zubat/golbat, while it holds the soothe bell, and then run for a little bit, but since it's levelled now, it might not be able to ingest as many vitamins. |
