Now that it is official - Gold and Silver are coming back - I thought we should take a moment to revist our old team preferences and starter choices, and figure out if they are worth sticking with [assuming the gameplay and hence area and frequency of pokemon stay the same.] 1.Personally, I always started with Totodile. I like it most, and I plan on sticking with him. Only downside is that he hinders a Red Gyaridos. Not the end of the world though. 2.The early Ghastly is good (especially now with an improved moveset), unless you want to work for an Abra/Espeon/Umbreon but I guess that is personal preferance. 3. Drowzee -> Machop. Gold is the only game I have ever used Machamp in, and he works. 3.Magnemite is a good find, and with a third evolution it is even better. Mareep is the obvious electric choice, but I would have taken Magneton over Amphros any day. 4.It is worth it to spend the time on a Dratini or Larvitar. Personally I have taken Dratini in the past, and Feraligatr's crunch (physical attack now, btw) reduces the need for him. 5.Ho-Oh is my Charizard. Obviously these are just some targets, not must-dos, and every game turns out different. |

Yea... this thread should be there. Is there a way to move it or do i need to restart it? |
