I only entered the market when Emerald came out. I've never played Gold or Silver, so I'm eagerly awaiting the remakes.

I haven't decided which game I'm going to get yet, it depends on all the little differences between the two.

If Ho-oh and Lugia are still at different levels, I'll get SoulSilver and soft-reset for a shiny Ho-oh - my favourite shiny of all!

Playing through Silver was the most fun I've ever had in a Pokemon game. That is why I'm getting SS when it's released.

I'm going to buy these games because my Silver and Crystal games were my favourite ones. My very first game was a Silver game and it was the best one I had. I am most likely going to buy SoulSilver because I liked the original Silver better than Gold.

What I am looking forward to is seeing the graphics from DPP being used in HG/SS. I also want to see what Pokemon the old Gym Leaders of Johto will be using. The Pokewalker is an added bonus that I can't wait for because that allows me to train my Pokemon when I'm busy or when I can't play my DS right away.

I don't think that remakes are bad or anything because while I was playing my Pearl and Platinum, I was wondering what the older Generations would look like if their old graphics were changed to these newer 3D graphics. The older Silver/Gold/Crystal games looked sort of like they were just paper on the screen that you could move around. Now, the DPP characters look like they are standing,(instead of looking like flattened roadkill), and actually have a shadow.

I am training my Pokemon in my Platinum and breeding eggs just so I can trade them over after. I hope that HG/SS will be a great game.

Do we really need an excuse to buy new Pokemon games? This doesn't include Mystery Dungeon or Pokemon Ranger. It's because Pokemon freaking rules and we all want to train little monsters to fight for us like we did in the old days.

For me , GSC gen was my favourite , i loved the whole idea of being able to go into kanto

I'm buying because they're Pokemon games.

Because some of us were either too young to play video games either that or were not even born when G/S/C was released

I had both gold and silver pre-ordered from GAME, then i got crystal the day after it came out
