| Post subject: | Ultra Balls not cutting it? |
I've gotten to a point in Platinum where Ultra Balls won't catch anything anymore. I'm working through the Battle Zone at the moment and Ultra Balls have been useless against wild Pokemon. They escape the minute the balls hits them. Yet I through my Dusk Ball and in they go with no struggle. Anyone else find this happening? |

Ultra Balls are practically useless in DPP with the addition of Dusk and Quick Balls. So yes, it's a common occurrence. To give you an idea, Ultra Balls always have a static 2:1 ratio compared to a Pokeball, but Dusk Balls have a 4:1 ratio when used at night or in caves. Quick Balls have a 4:1 and 3:1 ratio for the first ten or so turns of battle. Not to mention that Ultra Balls are more expensive than either. >_> |
