Post subject:  Help! I want to trade my egg but I can't
:frustrated: My brother and me came up with the idea to restart or game, but don't use the normal starter again.
instead we trade an egg from an old game to our new game. But this time *first time with FR/LG* I can't trade my egg,
it just says: you cant trade this egg when I am in the trading room :frustrated: . Does anyone know why this is? pleas help

What pokemon will it hatch into? There may be National Dex issues.
I'm also not sure if you can trade eggs in general.

You can, however, do an egg swap in Platinum. I'm not too sure if you can transfer eggs though.

It is a tyrannitar, and i do know you can trade eggs in G/S/C

I've just found out, it said I can't trade it !Yet!

I also can't trade my tyrannitar, or a pidgy egg

One problem is that Tyranitar is not apart of the original 151 Pokemon the other thing is that on LG/FR it does not allow egg tradesuntill after the elite four was beaten and the national Dex received :frustrated: . This however did not apply to D/P/P where I had a friend help me start with a cyndaquil I had hatched prior to restarting my game so I could start with it.

Me and my boyfriend were trading Pokemon, he gave me a Shinx and I gave him a Houndour egg. It was upstairs in the Pokemon Center. I'm not sure if this will help but anyway I'm not sure.

I would say that most of your problem lies in the fact that you're starting over... That machine isn't supposed to work at all until you beat the E4, never mind getting the National Dex...

Technically, the egg will hatch into Larvitar, not Tyranitar right away... Just a reminder.
