Okay, last year on January 12th in Snowpoint City, the snow was replaced with Diamond Dust. The chairman of Game Freak, Inc. did this as an easter egg. Well now, it is January 12th again and the Diamond Dust isn't there anymore. Where is it? Does it only happen one January 12th per game?

Maybe you have the date set wrong? Also, if you mess with your dates and set it as the 12th, it won't work. It didn't for me anyway.

For some reason Diamond Dust appeared later last year for me, too. Sometime in the summer, i think. I don't remember the date but it's probably a randomised event now.

I think it was for that year only because it didnt happen two years ago.

It's always been random, but they set it on January 12th.

And Rhydon, the game wasn't out in America two years ago ._.

It makes no real sense, since Jan. 12th is Jan. 12th in the DS' calendar, but could it mean Jan 12th in Japan, therefore whatever day that lies on in the rest of the world?

Well yeah, but how would a DS know when it's Jan. 12th in Japan? And last year, I was on msn to someone I'm assuming was American, early in the morning, and we both had diamond dust. Maybe it happens once, and the rest is random?
