Post subject:  More Lucky than a Shiny
Yesterday, I was playing my LeafGreen.
When I pressed save, it started to save and then I dropped it :o
The game froze on the "SAVING...DO NOT TURN OFF THE POWER" screen.

Today I turned my game back on and it said that the save file has been corupted,
I thought NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! All the work I've done! (see my TC in my sig)
Then, to my amazment, it said that it loaded the older save file!! :o :shock: :o :shock:

That's AMAZING! I think this was pure luck, and much luckier than finding a shiny (btw, my only shiny is articuno)

That's always what will happen if you mess the game up when it's saving. It's not based on luck.

I think that finding a shiny is luckier that that but that's probably because I have terrible luck with shinies.

i have horrible luck with shinys, I've been looking forever :(
Lately I've been counting the pokemon I run into, I'm at 234. What was the ratio of shinys again? 1/8??? can someone please tell me.

1/8192. Which is a probability, NOT a guarantee that every 8192 pokemon, one of them will be shiny.
