if you obtained a Arceus what type whould you keep its as to battle and wonder?

I would want to keep it as a Bug type as there arent any really powerfull bug types and seeing as psychic is an over used type the bug type judgment would cripple them

what about you?

I think an ice type Arceus would be my favourite, crippling those dragons.

The Dragon Type or the Grass Type.

The Dragon Type would have STAB on Draco Meteor, STAB on moves that dragons are weak to (Dragon), and not weak to much (only ice and more dragon, meanwhile Ice is weak to Fighting, Steel, Rock, Fire, etc). In fact, resistances to Thunder, Overheat, Kyogre surf, etc is really good.

Bug Type arceus was a really good Deoxys counter - special ones lacking psycho bost can't touch, and STAB judgement is Super Effective. Keep in mind that most Deoxys until Platinum (not even completely confirmed) will lack fire punch.

Grass is useful - although it sucks offensively (save for STAB Grass Knot), it resists Surf, Thunder, and EQ. The only real weaknesses are Ice and bug.

Fighting Type arceus was a great darkrai and t-tar counter, though both have sort of fallen from grace and dominance. Nevertheless, you can always count on Stealth Rock to shoot up most types. The uber metagame has few psychic moves (most are psychic type, and psychic resists itself).

Most Arceus are either extremespeed @Silk Scarf, Physical Ghost/Dark types, or the ultra rare Electric. There are a few calm mind ghost/dark/bugs with ice beam, but they really won't work if you are 1-upped on the boosts.

Another Defenive one on the rise is really replacing Giratina - Normal @Leftovers. No weaknesses (really, you can lol at fighting, as except for other Arceus and a few pokemon going through Blissey, its not seen), immunity to ghost (shadow balls and claws). Recover (Giratina can't boast this)



Cro-Arceus are growing in popularity - Substitute, Calm Mind, Recover, STAB move (based on plate), and that the only time an icicle plate is used. Dark Pulse is acceptable > Judgement, for PP reasons only.

Toxic Plate was funny when toxic spikes were more popular, but EQ has become alot more common, and the fact that it can't attack at all. Steel arceus, with its abundant resists, really won't work most times.
Splash Plate makes it either a weak Kyogre, or a terrific swords dancing waterfall user.

I would keep the Psychic/Dark type due to the fact that I don't have too many counters against Ghosts.

Arceus should stay Normal, Psychic or Ghost because he's a God. Gods are not bugs or plants.

Well being part fighting defeats the purpose of me wanting to have a bug type to beat psychics

i would have it as a bug or fire considering there arent many fire types easy to obtain till later and bug would get rid of pesky bronzong :D

I would get a water type because the color looks cool on it. I also kind of like the normal form and the grass form.

Dragon all the way the only thing resitant to it is a steel type (flamethrower/EQ) besidesm,, dragons look awsome :D

Dragooooon!!!!! Yeah!! ^-^ It's one of the best types.....good moveset could be: Draco Meteor, Judgement, Flamethrower, and another Dragon attack.
That or Dark types - I love those, they only have one weakness and as D@RKN&ZZ999 said, no-one expects them.
