I did the Mew glitch on m Yellow Version, and something went wrong, I think... I did everything right, but when I got to that spot in Lavender Town, this is what happened: A text box appeared, saying "You need strategy to win this" and I went into a trainer battle against a Super Nerd. He had a Lv 22 Grimer, Lv 22 Muk, and another Lv 22 Grimer. I won the battle. Another text box appeared with glitched words (Like Missingno) and another battle started against the same trainer with the same Pokemon! I'm going to win again, then lose on purpose to see what happens... I would appreciate it if someone would explain to me what I did! |

Okay, I won again... But something different happened: The text box for the other trainer was glitched. Instead of victory music, the sound of a Pokemon, then the 'Going into a Wild Pokemon Battle' music started. I didn't go into another battle, but now I can't move from the square, or talk to Pikachu. |

Found out I could walk... But I can't use any other buttons so far. I'm going to try different things as an experiment. Edit: I can walk faster if I'm not in the route west of Lavender town, and all the buttons work outside of the route. Good. But unfortunately, I tried going back into the route, and this happened: I heard the sound of a strange Pokemon. I cannot move. The music has changed to one beep every two seconds. Nothing's happening. It's scary...

The mew glitch doesn't work in yellow. They took it out. |

Um, yes, the Mew Glitch does work in Yellow. The only glitch that was "removed" from Yellow was accessing Missingno. on Cinnabar Island, and even Missingno. can still be found in Yellow by messing around with sequences similar to the Mew Glitch. Follow the instructions in the RBY FAQ's on the main site; I did that and I have Mew. I'm sure you could get Mew through other sequences, since there are multiple ways to trigger the Mew Glitch (try using Google to find more), but I got it through the Youngster/Gambler trick as explained on the site. As far as I know, Benjamin, the only "Nintendo event" for Mew back in the day was a Nintendo Power contest where only 151 winners won Mew. Kind of unlikely that somebody could trade for one of those. |

Well I've been had. The mew glitch IS in yellow (along with the other pokemon to be encountered using it.). I'm sorry about the mix-up. And Frost, that was what I had in mind, I was just listing ways mew could be obtained in yellow. |

yeah! I don't think if it works on Yellow. Super Nerd with lvl. 22 Muk and Grimer, not that weird . But I heard there's a glitch on how to have plenty of rare candies, and other items on yellow, blue and red version. |

Ugh, I hate Rare Candies. But the other said items wouldn't happen to include TMs perhaps? |
