Hello, this is my first post on psypoke, and im somewhat new to the world of pokemon.

Anyway, ive been playing FR/LG lately, and I have many questions, but ill start with two on my mind right now:

I have TM26 (Earthquake) in my bag, and I was just wondering, who would it be best to teach to?
Sandslash
Nidoking
Nidoqueen

And since Rhydon, Golem and Dugtrio can all learn it on their own, I wouldnt want to give it to them, right?

I am trying to make as powerful a ground type (among other types) as i can before I face the Elite 4.

Also, can I trade between FR/LG (I have 2 GBA's, a link cable, and FR on the way in the mail lol) before I have beaten the Elite 4?

PS
I hope this is posted in the right area.

As for your first question, it's a matter of opinion.

As question 2, yes. you can.

EDIT: Mods, I didn't double post on purpose, I don't know why it happened.

You can trade whenever you want to. No problems there if you have the materials, which you do. Just don't forget to trade back if you need to!

As for Earthquake, I would say one of the Nidos. Sandslash learns some pretty good moves by itself, and I believe that in FRLG it does learn that, too. Don't quote me on that...

As for another Ground-type you could use if you want, I would suggest Dugtrio of the three others you have listed. You don't have to trade for it (Golem), or train it to Lv. 42 just to evolve (Rhydon), plus Dig is a great move.

Hope this helps!

AEPMT :D :) :P

Sandslash and Sandshrew are only on Leafgreen.

I have both games plus Emerald and I can't trade between any of them
I trade using a Gameboy Advance and a GameBoy Advance SP.

Out of those ground types, I would consider Sandslash and Rhydon. Sandslash is faster and slightly better defensively, but he requires you to use your Earthquake TM and Rock Slide move tutor. Rhydon learns Earthquake and Megahorn leveling up, which are two great moves, but it takes a long time to finally get them. Plus you have to use your Rock Slide move tutor on it. Either way, I would suggest using a male one so that you can breed the moves onto another pokemon later.
