Can you trade to ruby version or even emerald version? And how do you do it? is it just like regular trading?

no you can't, however it is possible to hack your pokemon to the very moveset, level, experience and other stuff. you can even make it so it says that it came from the johto region and the original ot is your blue name. but i wouldn't know, i am a perfect angel

I'm not sure about "can", but the "how" is either cheating or doing it the very patience-trying way. There's the theory of "back-and-forth-generation trading". From Blue version (I'd assume you'd use Blue), trade to GSC (which is a pain right there...) Not sure (and this would be the major hitch in the plan) if you can trade from GSC to RSE. I don't know, I haven't tried it (and probably won't for a long time...)... That's the way I propose to do it. Wouldn't think of any other possible way other than hacks. Hope this helps! AEPMT

RBYGSC and RSE/FRLG/PD are two separate generations. The two generations are not compatible with each other. It is therefore impossible to trade between Blue and Ruby. You can only perform trades between games in the same generation.
