What happens when you try to throw food or a rock at it?

Does this happen on every Kangaskhan that you encounter?

When the ball misses the Pokemon entirely, it means that the Pokemon is still not weakened enough, or, in the Safari Zone's case, not enough rocks have been thrown. Try throwing more rocks before trying to throw any Safari Balls. It's not a glitch, I believe. If you throw Pokeballs at, say, Mewtwo, they'll miss completely too.

In the safari zone, because the pokemon are at maximum health, the balls will miss frequently.

Go out and find a powerful pokemon and throw a ball at it. The ball will miss. It isn't a glitch.

the ball is not missing when i throw it at the legendary birds at full healt but only in the safari zone. the ball seems to be hitting the most common pokemon nidoran for example but the rarer pokemon such as pinser chancy syther and kanghaskhan all miss. i tred throwing more rocks at them like snowball said still missed and i threw 10 rocks at the t pinser before it ran

Well the Pokeballs might or might not miss the Legendary Birds. It doesn't matter. But if it still happens after you throw like ten rocks or so, you're probably very very unlucky. I still doubt it's a glitch.

The two things I would put in here are the following....

1) Age-old persistence

-&-

2) Finding your method

By those, I mean stick with it until you get what you want. I was very fortunate to have a lot of money for all of those times that I had to trek back into the Safari
Zone and finally catch a Tauros.

And finding a pattern that works every time. If you want it easy, try it on the weaker (more common) Pokes in Safari first. Then upgrade your strategy (keeping it the same) to the bigger ones. It should work. Not to mention, Kangaskhan is already rare to begin with...

Hope this helps!

They may be a bug orelse its karma lol

Oh my god it's not a freaking bug. It's something in the game to make the Safari Zone more difficult. Imagine if every single ball you threw would hit. That would make it super easy, especially considering that most of the time you catch the pokemon with just a ball.

Yeah, there are no bugs applied when talking about the Safari Zone in RBY. Makes you come back more than once. Technically, it's already difficult (when it comes to Tauros, Kangaskhan, Chansey, Scyther, Pinsir, etc.) because of their low percentage rate of showing.

But even then, most of the time it won't catch them right away. (Too bad!)

How can you manage ten rocks? I throw one and everything runs.

I've never managed it, but my post was in reference to the post before mine, where Mitch The Dragon Tamer states that he threw ten rocks. *shrug*

Try not to much rocks and it will work.
As for the birds, yes, you have a very low chance of not catching Zapdos. If it's in a low HP, sleeping, too, that is.[/color]

Another thought I had, just now. If they wanted everything to be incredibly easy (every Poke you encounter to catch, you do), then why do they give you 30 Safari Balls? After all, they can't honestly expect you to run into 30, and do one ball, catch, step, repeat.
