I think tha there are waaaaaaaay too many pokemon right now so with D/P you should only be able to get pokemon from that generation, none from the others. It would make the game so much less confusing (my brain hurts!!!)

Too late, we already have 5 new Pokemon announced. But yeah, I hope they just make the 14 Pokemon (well, now 9, including Munchlax, Rukario, Manene, Usohachii, and Manyula) that are left to get 400 and they stop there, or else it will be practically impossible to "catch 'em all!" Anyways, I think they won't stop there, my prediction is that they'll make DP stop at 450 Pokemon at the least.

No, what I meant was just make like 151 pokemon for D/P and only use those. Also there would be no way to trade to other generations and no new pokedexes. Also it would rock if there were no "pokemon-event" pokemon, so it would actually be possible for a relaxed gamer to not shark his or her way to a complete pokedex.

I'm with your idea. There are getting to be WAY too many pokemon, but if Nintendo only made it that P/D pokemon were available, it'd be cool. (ALthough, I would miss Flygon and Kabutops...)

Or rather, it's always been impossible to catch them all WITHOUT pouring money down Nintendo's throats. Ever since Red and Blue. Ruby/Sapphire were just the worst offenders, because Nintendo swindled you into buying FRLG and Colosseum to get the whole set of Pokemon. Pearl and Diamond will probably be no different, except they need to find MORE ways to spread 500 Pokemon throughout six different mediums.

I have been swayed by this new idea, so revised:

Have all regions but keep that regions pokemon in their own regions! This means no pidgey in Johto, no Lugia in Hoenn. Also you should be able to catch starters, I mean why are they not found anywhere else, they're not exactly legendary or even that strong.

Pidgeotto can fly long distance.

Tentacool can swim long distance.

As for Pikachu, keep it in Kanto and perhaps Johto.

I had the same idea in another post though no one noticed......also sme pokemon should be found at special events IN THE GAME. Like Jynx at christmas.

I don't mind if we have to trade between two pairs of versions (DP and something else), but at least make it ONLY 2 pairs.

For DP, they should make a 200-Pokemon RegionDex including all new Pokemon and their evolutions, some old Pokemon, and NO new legends, just some from other regions. Make all those Pokemon abvialable in the new region. After defeating the E4 you could go to Johto and receive the National Dex, to be able to catch Johto Pokemon. But even if you get the N-Dex after the E4, you'd be able to trade non-DP Region Pokemon with other games before defeating the E4, you just won't be able to catch them.

Also, they shouldn't make any Nintendo-Event Pokemon. Yes, make it a challenge (a really big one, at that) to get Mew or Deoxys, but don't make them Event Pokemon.

*Sigh* We can wish as much as we like, but Nintendo will continue to make Nintendo Events and many versions to catch all Pokemon. Nintendo is greedy.

I would really miss some of my old Favourites if they didn't get to appear in this Generation...I think that maybe we might get a lot of the old Kanto/Johto Pok

But if this will be online we can trade with people to get all pokemon.......So you wont have to buy all the versions just buy one and trade online.

There is one thing all you people have forgotten about the Tentacool thing. A lot of fish and other fish stay in a particular area because of the amount of salt, the amount of warmth, and the availability of food. For example there are only certain places where you can get particular sorts of salmon. Also it is no different for jellyfish, I'm pretty sure they differ from region to region. What would rock is if there were the same pokemon in different regions but they were slightly different, like they could learn different moves, have different stats (e.g. Tentacool in Kanto has low HP, Johto Tentacool has high HP), and maybe even look a little different.

They should make so when you catch a pokemon it will have a different height and weight then the same kind of pokemon if you were to catch another one. Making this, they could have many different contest.

I personally think that all the pkmn should be in the game. I also agree that some pkmn should live alone and some could live together as a herd. Take Bellsprout for example they could live with their evolution and other grass types like oddish and its evolutions.

I think we will begin to see many pokemon that adhear to natural standards and look like things in real life like bonsley there will poabably be a lion pokemon named Leo or sometin. Wouldn't a "High Ruler" pokemon be sweet like the king of all pokemon to wich all pokemon must someday pay homage. Also mabey they could finally dispell the rumor of Pokemon space relations.

yeah a Latias would be cool for Pearl/Diamond. maybe they could have a secret cave or something like the Unknown Dungeon, or WorldEdge Island or something like that.

Also it would be ccol if when you used fly that you saw yourself fly and you move around by yourself . This would also make it possible to meet flying type pokemon in the sky. AND maybe whenyour in one city go to a cave to find a storyteller or old guy who gives you directions and gives you something that makes it possible to catch a legandary pkmn or just a legandary pokemon itself.OR it could lead to a cave where uthe unkwon are.Or to a mountain to find rock ,ground and flying pokemon and this also could lead to a place where you can find the theree legandary birds and maybe latios and/or latias. This could also make it possible to find Rayquaza. The same with dig. You dig your way out and find rock and ground pokemon and then have this one place where you dig down and you find groudon and the ancient pokemon (kabuto, Omanyte e.t.c.)
. and maybe regirock. (or a new legandary same for flying). Then you should also be able to dive deeper to fnd legandaries (like lugia[i wish] and kyogre). And also a desert for the thre regis, and also a forest for the regis where when you go to the center and like something weird like your surrounded with 4 shrines and you put 4 things like an offering they glow then you fly up and you find celebi, then after youve beaten all 32 pokemon leagues you get a ticket to go to space and catch deoxys and jirachi on the moon or something then you go down. Once again after youve beaten all 4 E4's and champions you go to a messed up island and you find a cloning science lab where you find mewtwo and you find him in a glass thing you break it with rock samash and you can cathc him. Tge yo go furtherinto the island and theres a shrine for mew then you go inside and put a special thing on an offering table then mew plops down.
What do you people think?

P.S. For the flying thing you could also find ho-oh.

Rukario-That flying thing would be awesome. I thought about that a long time ago, but I forgot about that idea. I didn't think of the whole finding pokemon in the sky thing. I like that too.
