Hi you all!

I need some help with Pearl version of PKMN and all tips and treaks you can give me will be welcome. Many years ago, I had a Game Boy where I played Yellow version and where I completed my Dex. I did not play the Johto or Hoenn games, but some months ago I bought a DS with Pearl version.

I would like to play in Pearl version with some of my old PKMN of the yellow game. I have just got the national Dex, therefore I think it is possible. I have got this matherial:

• Game Boy (not color)
• Pokemon yellow version
• Game link cable
• Nintendo DS
• Pokemon pearl version

A good friend wants to help me and he is going to lend me:

• Game Boy advance
• Pokémon ruby version

Could you tell me the steps I need to do to get my old Pokémon in Pearl version, please?

There's something else that I would like to ask. In the yellow game I keep some HM/TM that were not learnt by any of my PKMN. Can they be traded to Pearl?

Sorry, but that will be impossible.

Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Gold, Silver and Crystal are isolated - they cannot trade with the 3rd or 4th gen games. Unlucky.

Oops... that's a real shame. I've been looking for information and I discovered that old versions of the game are not compatible with DP... that means that I cannot fight with my old pokémon any more.

But then... how do some people get some pokémon from GSC like Chikorita or Raikou?

From Fire Red / Leaf Green / Emerald(gba / 3rd gen)
Pokemon Colosseum / Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness (gamecube)

Pokemon XD got like the best pokemon from G/S/C and I'm saying that because of new move that can't be obtain anywhere else but the rest of the games I mention does have G/S/C pokemon in them.
