Let me see -- I've stumbled across a few gems:
...There is more, but I forget. GTS is a game in it's own right; a metagame, you might say. Being able to snipe good pokes is quite satisfying. At the moment, I'm trying to get my hands on one of those shiny Darkrai floating about; people are always cloning, however, so want something like a 'lvl. 100 Mudkip'. |

Dragonite will be useful on the gts curcuit. :o I'm training a Dragonite right now too... It's like LVL 74 or something... Can't wait to migrate! Just traded any dexoys for a level 54 Japanese Slowbro.

I chain traded and got a shiny  .
Here's what happened: I traded Chimchar for Turtwig; Turtwig for Prinplup; Prinplup for Monferno; evovled him; Traded Infernape for Mesprit; Mesprit for Darkrai; Darkrai for Shiny Rayquaza! I know several trades were unfair. I think the Darkrai was hacked. |

I gave away a Level 30 Drifblim (Female, Timid Nature, badly EV trained, infected with contagious Pokerus) there and got a level 1 Female Eevee with great IVs (Level 100 Rare Candy* checked, 100% legit, too) holding a Fire Stone in return from a female Japanese player. I was looking to breed a Flareon with Curse, so it really helped both of us. * I spend a lot of time thinking up teams as I train, so having a Level 100 Pickup Linoone in reserve while I Thief/Covet Heart Scales from Luvdisc really pays off (I'm an Obsessive-Compulsive with Asperger's Syndrome, so that's about 40-50 Heart Scales per day when I farm Luvdisc, and getting 99 Rare Candies is a 4 hour per day, 3 day task, minimum). |

i got a lvl 45 seadra for i think a lvl 70 dragonite and guess what it had a dragon scale so when i got it it evolved i didnt even pay attention to what it was holding that caught me on supprise

I love it when people clone like 80 shinies, then put them up on the GTS for bidoofs. EDIT: I just recently got a Porygon-z, with a modest nature 31 IV's special attack, and Shiny. All for a crap lv. 100 Salamance named Cuddles. I would say that is the best trade I've ever gotten. |

My best find is definitely my Japanese Hasty Palkia. Caught at lv 70, at Spear Pillar, caught after Japanese release date, etc. I got it from chain trading. It was... Lumineon for Honchkrow Honchkrow for Entei (which is a ridiculous trade, lol) Entei for Japanese Hasty Palkia |

I hate those "Lv100 Legendary" trades so  much! I wanted a pinsir and 5 out of the 6 offers where for legendaries. i got lucky and traded one for a scyther

A level 10 Mismagius (Which I got from a friend for Electrode) or a Lvl 52 Shiny Rhydon. I had a Protector in my bag already, so I immediately traded it to a friend and back to have a Shiny Rhyperior. |

What?! I was trying to get the Honchkrow Entei, but it was traded to a different trainer ARRGH! Oh well............... a lvl. 32 togetic w/ horrible IV's and extremely crappy moveset for a lvl. 1 japanese piplup. then the piplup for a level 64 (currently lvl. 68) Kadabra that evolved to Alakazam with pretty good IV's and my favorite moves for psychic pokemon and a couple of TM's to make the move set better. in short: level 32  --> level 1  --> level 64
