Okay, so today I was looking through Canalave, and I found this item ball hidden near the south-west end (near Sailor Eldritch).
Image I circled the item-ball. The picture is very blurry. So, my question is, what's in this item ball, and how do I access that area.

thats TM 89 - U-Turn. you can get to it by simply surfing down the canal to a path that leads to the item ball.

Is there a way, with the exeption of rare candies and the Day Care, to check IVs without using Wi-Fi? My Wi-Fi connection is down.

well, you can guess one of your pokemon's IV through it's characteristic. this will help if you know the parent's IVs and that the characteristic of one parent and the offspring happens to be the same  in that case, the offspring will most likely have the same IV as the parent in that particular stat.

other than that, I don't see any other way outside rare candy/day care. If you do have some rare candies, just level them up, check the IV ranges, and reset the game without saving. you can do the same with the day care: run around for few hundred steps, check the IVs, and reset.

You could always level them up a few times through battling; it's not really important that you find their actual IVs, just the range.

You can use this calculator. You just write down the pokemon's stats for every level (you do this for about 20 levels), as well as the characteristic, and it gives you the exact IVs.

Really useful... :)

How do you get the 3rd badge lady to come back?

Post subject:

I think you are referring to the 5th badge lady... Fantina? You gotta beat 2 more gyms at Veilstone and Pastoria before she returns.

I think that may be a typo; the Dex is the one you should go with.

How does Aqua Ring work? Does it last for the rest of the battle after you use it, until you switch out? Does it heal a percentage of the max HP or a set amount?

Author:  undertaker [ Mon Jan 07, 2008 12:02 pm ]
Post subject:

If you use the move Aqua Ring, it heals the damage (if) done to your Poke. Its effects wear off as soon as you switvh that Poke out.

So how much does it heal?

And what if your Pokemon is burned? I'm thinking of teaching my Milotic Aqua Ring, and giving it a Flame Orb to auto-inflict burn, and thus Marvel Scale. So will Aqua Ring heal back the damage done by being burned?

Is there anything special you have to do for the "Insertion" Pokemon to appear? I'm training up on Route 2 and I haven't seen any Growlithe. Do I have to have finished the Elite 4 in either one? Help please!!!

Edit:

It has Levitate. I know this because I once traced it.
