If you could choose ANY of the 493, which 6 would you start?

I have 2. One for what I would actually choose, and one for the challenge fastor.

Normal: {vulpix}, {tyrouge}, {smoochum}, {poochyena}, {pachirisu}, and {feebas}. This would be an interesting team.

Challenge: {magikarp}, {bidoof}, {caterpie}, {abra} (I wouldn't let it evolve, adding to the challenge factor), {tailow}, and a male {ralts}, so I could eventually evolve it into one of the lamest pokemon in existance: gallade. It really is just a fanservice for 7-year-old boys. Plus, it sucks. In fact, the only good pokemon on this team is caterpie, for it evolves into butterfree. Gyarados is overrated.

Neither. I'm pretty sure it's once a day.

I would have to have my three favorite starters... {charmander}, Charmander, {totodile} Totodile, and {treecko} Treecko. like them because they're all sort of reptillian in nature (salamander, crocodile, gecko (is a gecko a reptile? I think it's an amphibian... *shrug*)

for the others... I'd have to say {larvitar} because {tyranitar} is one of my favorites.
{sneasel} for the same reason, ( {weavile} )
and... a {horsea} just for fun because I think {kingdra} is just too cool.

*edit* I took the time to even make a Trainer Card for this team! lol.

Always wanted to try these 6 as starters, seems like it would be rough rolling around with just them although ditto and castform would make it oh so easy after awhile.

{riolu} because it's just adorably awesome; {torchic}, 'cause Blaziken is my favorite starter of all generations; {ralts}: Gardevoir is my second favorite Pokémon of my favorite type (since I can't have Mewtwo as my starter); {swablu}: Altaria is my favorite Pokémon ever; {trapinch} because Flygon is nyoro~n <:3; and, last but not least, {magikarp}, because Gyarados is just plain awesome.
