I've restarted my lg game and I was wondering which pokemon were better, currently I have squirtle, and I am think about a ground type, so would sandslash or dugtrio be better? Also I want an ice type, so is there anything better than jynx or is jynx the best? ty. |

You can always teach Ice Beam to a Water type Pokemon. The Ice type generally sucks, because it has four weaknesses and is only resistant to its own type. has six weaknesses and only two resistances. Much better to teach Ice Beam to and cover its Grass weakness. And a Ground type... I wouldn't go for either or , personally I would prefer . The moves it learns are different, but it's got decent Defence and decent Speed, so you don't have to choose between the two. Or maybe teach Earthquake to something like . |

the reason I wanted an ice type is because I wanted something that could use ice beam more powerfully than a standard water type, and the reason I wanted a sandslash over a marowak is because marowak doesn't have much attack and I don't think i'll be able to find a thick club, here is my planned team so far: blastoise dodrio victreebel, exeggcutor(if I don't choose jynx) jynx, cloyster sandslash, dugtrio and a pokemon that most compliments the rest of my team. |

But I want an ice type that has more than 80 base sp.attack, so it's probably either jynx or cloyster. |

Personally, I raise more than six Pokemon, so I've got a wider selection to choose from when I'm preparing for a Gym battle or Elite Four challenge. Raising nine or ten has always worked wonders for me... you never have to limit the number of strong Pokemon to six. Raise a few more, and when you're getting ready for a battle, bring the ones you think will be most effective against your opponent. |
