I've been busy with my game and I need a HM slave. Who would be the best? Thanks in Advance.

Dragonite and Gyarados. Dragonite can learn Cut, Fly, Rock Smash and Strength, Gyarados can learn Surf, Water Fall, and Dive.

What about Flash, Krisp? Besides, there isn't a Dive TM in FireRed/LeafGreen. I'd recommend Meowth as well, because as well as Cut, Flash and Dig (which is useful if you ever get trapped in the Pokemon Mansion, like my stepbrother did), it has the ability Pick-up which can get you some rare and useful items.

Nidorina with Cut, Strength, Surf, Rock Smash could work, but you probably have Surf on a Water Pokemon anyway. Another HM Slaves (a more elegant term I use is "Utility Pokemon") I use is Krabby (who can learn Surf, Dive, Strength, Rock Smash, Cut)

Yeah, "Utility Pokemon" is a better term for HM users, isn't it? I don't really like to call them slaves... If you want a Pokemon that has an entire moveset of HMs, can learn all the HM moves apart from Cut and Fly, so it's great as a Utility.

I can just imagine it. A surfing Tauros... racing through the water on a surfboard... Gyrados, Snorlax, Rhydon, and Tauros are all good HM slaves

since my EV's are messed up, i bred another charmander... what did i do with my original starter charizard?.. HM mule of course... fly, cut, rock smash, and strength... and the water HM's for gyarados

Bibarel and marill are good ones too, i guess if you cloned a mew on emerald it would be the ultimate hm slave also, if gyrados is part flying, youd think it could learn fly

Just get a few..... for what occasion you need usually the most useful are cut, fly, surf the rest arent needed...... especially FLASH.. just go to the WALKTHRU at psypokes and you wont get lost youll have a small radius of visibility anyways unless you're going somewhere that needs it to adavance... i hav LINOONE ~ Covet > you'll never know when you need to thief things ~ Surf ~ Strength ~ Dig > Get out of caves etc.. when your pokemon are weak SKARMORY ~ Rock Smash ~ Drill Peck > you need some battling power.. ~ Cut ~ Fly Sion9 wrote: jrnleblanc wrote: Can u get HM Slave in FR LG??? idk what you mean...HM Slaves are pokemon that learn many HMs, so you only need to give HMs to 2 pokemon in your party. I use Aerodactyl. Think about it. Strength, Rock Smash, Cut and Fly. I also use a Gyrados for Surf and Waterfall. (You don't really need flash beyond the 3rd gym.) I also have been known to use a meowth or two.

i don't use Flash. My HM Slaves are my level 5 and {Poliwhirl} There are others who are better, i think. You could try the not-so-useful raticate...... Or a Pidgey for Fly....... I don't use a Dragonite for a HM Slave. I mean, that's like a reaally hard to raise pokemon!!!! anyway.... i can't imagine Pidgey carrying a 10(?) year old kid.

Different games had different Utility Pokemon. Normally I didn't have one until half way in the main part of the game, just randomly using them on other pokemon. Here are some of my notable favorites. Linoone Wingull Golduck Rampardos Hoot-hoot (I'd always make sure to get one for fly. Or else I wouldn't have anything to get off that island in GSC) But what pokemon should I use for the LG game I'm starting right now I wonder?
