I have a Heracross (Adamant Nature :D ) I know Seismic Toss will do exactly 100 damage because Heracross is level 100. But Brick Break gets STAB and Heracross has a high Attack Stat compared to HP. What attack would do more damage?

depending on the strength of your pokemon, Brick break could be stronger in some situations. plus brick break can distroy reflect and light screen. perfect for when your a phisical or special sweeper. or both.

Depends on what you're facing. Some Pokemon have very high Defence and a resistance to Fighting type attacks; Seismic Toss would be better against those Pokemon. However, for those Pokemon that have low Defence or are weak against the Fighting type, Brick Break would be better. In most cases, it's better to go with the latter.

Strictly speaking, you should ask this question in the Rating Centre next time.

Brick Break for Heracross, definitely. Depending on your set, you may be able to take out pokemon that resist Brick Break (Rock Slide on Flying types, Megahorn on Psychic types). But if you're facing a physical wall, chances are Seismic Toss won't be very effective anyway - it'll probably take 4 at least to kill Skarmory or Weezing, and it won't affect Dusclops. Better to switch out in those cases.

Both moves have their uses; but on Heracross, Brick Break is more useful. On walls, though, which have little attack power, Seismic Toss is better.

heracross's strength is definitely his attack power. a move like seismic toss is good for its durability, being able to inflict the same amount of damage on everyone. but it will always take several turns to finish someone off. for that reason it is best left for something that can take several hits, like blissey or dusclops, or other walls. i think brick break is better for heracross. pokemon that resist it may well be weak to one of his other attacks, like rock slide. but if not, then just switch hera outta there. i say go with brick break.

he can learn close combat in d/p - i think im gonna take my heracross out of retirment :D :D :D

Seismic toss doesn't have type advantage or disadvantage. Sometimes seismic toss is better than brick break (especially on ghosts), but since heracross had a fight-type it deals more damage. I choose brick break.

Brick break just hurts so much more on so many more pokes than Seismic Toss. 'Nuff said, really.

BB over Seismic Toss anytime! For one thing, it can KO powerful pkmn such as {slaking}, {snorlax}, {tyranitar}, and {ursaring} in one turn! While Seismic Toss can't even KO a {shuckle}.

Go with Brick Break. Not only can it OHKO, but I have a lot of Pokemon that can learn it :D

It's like one of the best fighting moves you can get, both for its versatility and power :D

As Cuddles said, Brick Break is better on Heracross because of his high Atk. I really can't understand why you'd even consider Seismic Toss on Heracross - Heracross is meant to be a physical sweeper, and Seismic Toss does not sweep. Brick Break can OHKO many pokemon. Seismic Toss is only useful on pokemon that can't deal damage from it's Atk/SpA stat very well (like standard Blissey).
