Way way back in 1998 I got a videotape in the mail from Nintendo called "A Sneak Peek at Pokemon" that showed a little bit of the GB game, TCG, anime, and the action figures. It had some pretty bad actors and a preview PokeRap, and it explained what Pokemon were and how you had to catch them and battle with them. If I didn't get that vid in the mail, my parents wouldn't have gotten both versions of the game. Did anybody else get that tape? |

No, but I saw the video on Youtube. Speaking of old commercials... does anyone remember the commercial where all the Pokemon get in that bus and it gets crushed? I dunno why, but that commercial just sticks out of my mind, lol. |

Nope, I didn't. Didn't even know it existed. And by the way, Krisp, yeah, I do know that commercial, it's on the end of a lot of my anime tapes. Even I feel kind of old, even though that wasn't TOO long ago. D: I got introduced to Pokemon because my mom brought home a Pokemon tape that had the episode where Ash had to save Erika's Gloom from a fire. Since then, I've always had a soft spot for Gloom. ;( |

Well, the tape's still at my parent's house. I guess I could make copies and put them on eBay... It's pretty cool that you can find it on YouTube, but then again, what can't you find there? Interestingly enough, I also got a video for Donky Kong 64 and Jet Force Gemini, too. Did anybody happen to get that one? |

I got a similar video about various N64 titles. It had this funny guy who kidnapped a Mario doll with giant ears. I still laugh thinking about him hooking it up to the car battery. |
