"OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... his skin is a DIFFERENT COLOR GRAY!!!!!!"
big FREAKIN' deal. just cause his skin is a different color now, you think he is crap? okay, maybe his stats suck (i wouldn't know i haven't looked at that) but he still looks cool to me.
i bet your skin is a different color now than it once was.

yeah, but that doesn't mean they have to be all like:
"offfffffghhhhhh.,..!!!! i hates me some rhyperior!!! he sucks!!!"
i mean, there are pokes i hate (bidoof anyone) most notably kricketune, but i'm not like that towards them.

Why not? Is someone telling you not to hate some bunch of data?
Actually, why do you bother about other people not liking Rhyperior. Like ST said, people like different stuff about pokemon and that's it. It is just a game.

I see what you are saying KOL40, but it isn't just Rhyperior. Many Pokemon, mostly the 4th gen evolutions of the previous ones, seem to be put down. I feel that it is alright to say which ones you hate or dislike, but there are limitations. Example of a good way to express one's dislike for a Pokemon would be a topic like that which exist. A bad way would be bringing it to a topic where saying one's hatered for the Pokemon is stupid. I found on one topic when someone asked for help rasing his/her Pokemon, a few people just said that the Pokemon sucked. Posts like that are unnessisary to the topic and are spam. So if someone wants to express their dislike, it should be in a topic for that reason instead of spamming other topics that shouldn't need it.

It seems that people don't like the 4th gen new evolutions of old pokemon that much - maybe they're used to using Rhydon or Magneton, etc. and don't like the fact that Nintendo gave it a 3rd evolution.
But it's just a game - if they don't like Rhyperior, challenge them to a battle (using Rhyperior of course)

Au contraire, the new evolutions are some of the best new evolutions in the metagame.
Rhyperior is OU, along with Electivire, Porygon-Z, Dusknoir, Tangrowth, Gliscor, and of course, Weavile.

Uhm, I haven't heard of anyone who thinks that, and if they do, they're probably like 7-year-old nublets or something.

i simply don't like the apearance of rhypherior.
it looks to smooth, and to clean to come from something so rocky tough as rhydon.
but thats just an opinion, i love my electivire, and magmortar is pretty cool too.
tangelas new evolution leaves a bit to be desired, but i really like tangela to start with so... anything further always seemed unnecessary to me.
but those are all opinions, and everyones welcome to their own.
i'm not trying to force mine on anyone, but i do think everyone should have the oppertunity to state how they feel.

"Smooth" and "clean"?
...
I think K0L40 should start an Anti-Pokeracism Organization.

yes.
smoth and clean.
the orange plates make him look a lot smoother than rhydon, and the eyes make him look tired all the time.
the ball tail seems to be another useless detail, unless he has special tail orriented moves.
and why did he get fatter!?
the second horn seems a bit much as well, either way, if i were going to design rhypherior from scratch, it would probably be closer to rhydon, with the plates.
but they would be red, or black.
maybe his horn would get bigger, and his legs would look more powerful, but i think the design they used makes him look so over-the-top with details and attack parts, he just LOOKS foolish.

Funnily enough, if Rhyperior belonged with the first generation, a vast number of players would find Rhyperior tolerable and much less despicable - it seems that the later the generation in which a certain Pokemon belongs, the more "unoriginal" or "0mg stup1d!11!1" it becomes.

i also agree with the point cal makes. abd what makes you think he is fat? i mean ryhorn can demolish a building with a tackle - so, i'm thinkin' his final form is probably PRETTY MUSCULAR.

All this talk about Pokeracism makes me wonder..,
Why is it that most people use male Pokemon for battles? The females are just as capable.
That's Pokesexism, my friends. And it's ugly.
Err, anyway...
Rhyperior could have been worse, so I'm not complaining.

i think people use males because if youre teaching TMs, males can pass them on through breeding. but then if you wanted to use attract, you would put it on a female and be able to attract about 70-80% of your opponents (most of the rest would be genderless).
i'm seriously thinking rhyperior might be a good idea. ok, he's got a few weaknesses. but solid rock is good for that. he's got great attack - base 140, higher than salamence and metagross. interesting......

the more i think about it, the more he seems to be a decent choice.
his visuals still bother me a lot.
i think it's just because of the second horn, and the fact that i hate the color orange.
the only thing stopping me is how much that would weaken MORE of my team to water...
anyways, in regards to the pokesexism, i prefer to use female pokemon, and am wicked excited i just got a female charmander!
and yeah, thats certainly pokesexism, in that i'm prefering females, but.... historically.. men are... bad.

In history men are bad?
Umm... men were the predominant fighters, and also the most bad... but also the most good*
Though this is simply due to the way that women were denied the opportunity to do anything. And most texts are about men, who the people found more interesting. (Then... now things are obviously different...)
Anyway, getting a female charmander is good anyway... there is only a 1/8 chance, plus you can breed it without needing a national dex ditto.
*yes that should be worst and best, but then it sounds silly...

Now this has been changed from the Pokemon who seem to be put down to how we see the genders of Pokemon.
For the basic topic a lot of the new gen evolutions are great. The only one I don't favor is Magmotor, they could have made that one look better. Out of the original new Pokemon Bidoof is not really needed, people have put down Bibarel but it's a beaver which gets some points.
Now for the gender thing, it doesn't matter to me. Genders don't affect the game that much. There are a few abilities and moves that truely affect gender in battle. So other than that I try to get a Pokemon of any gender that I come across. I only look at gender when I have to give nicknames to match my theme.

TMs, as Cuddles Said, if your using a Rare Tm, you want to be able to get some more use of it from breeding, otherwise, you need to get your Smeargle out. And nobody Enjoys that.
Also, i like Smeagle! Thats all im saying.

well, since everyone else got off topic, what about smeargle. as in how does sketch work? i used sketch in a link battle, and afterword instead of the move i "sketched," 'sketch' itself was still there. i read it is disabled in vs. in the dex. so, do you have to just encounter wild pokes/vs seek, and HOPE they use the move you want? i hope not
