This thread is here to become a forum-user-built database for all Pokemon. When it is agreed that a posted Pokemon is the best it can possibly be (for the purpose it was created; sweepers, tanks, etc), it will be added to this post. If the Pokemon you would like advice for is not here, feel free to request it and someone will provide the info needed.

Ok well here is my best found Infernape.

{infernape} @ Life Orb
Jolly / Adamant | Blaze
252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP

~ Firepunch
~ Thunderpunch
~ Close Combat
~ Earth Quake

This is also a very common Electivire moveset, basically they are the same pokes with different stats. Life Orb is great with Jolly giving you that extra kick and you no longer need to switch against water types. Hope this helps.

I think Flare Blitz and Close Combat are also viable option, but the recoil is a pain to deal with, but they do much more damage, and on a low-defense pokemon like Infernape, its better to take recoil than it is to attack, fail to KO, and then take an opponents hit.

As much as I wish it could be a special sweeper, here's the best charizard set:

{charizard} @ Salac
Jolly | Blaze
252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP

~Substitute
~Belly Drum
~Fire Punch/ Shadow Claw
~Dragon Claw/ Brick Break

You have to bring this guy out against a pokemon that you know will switch out or do something that doesn't do charizard any damage. On the first turn, use substitute. On the next turn, use belly drum. Its HP will now be low enough to activate the Salac berry and give it an attack of 1,000+.

It's nature is jolly because it has to go first, since its HP will be so low. With 6x its attack, the adamant boost is unimportant.

The attack pairs MUST be fire punch & dragon claw or shadow claw & brick break. This is because fire+dragon and ghost+fighting both do at least neutral damage to every possible type combination. True, a bronzong with heatproof will take reduced damage from a fire punch, but with 1,000+ attack and the STAB, it doesn't really matter.

As far as special sweeping goes, this is probably the best:

252 Sp Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP

~Will-o-Wisp
~Flamethrower/ Heat Wave/ Fire Blast
~Focus Blast
~Air Slash/ Dragon Pulse

Will-o-Wisp will help it survive rock attacks (since no one uses ancient power or power gem) and other physical attacks, the fire attacks are for STAB, focus blast takes out rock-types and helps against bronzongs with heatproof. Air slash and dragon pulse helps its sweeping abilities.

What I really hate is that charizards now have solarbeam and they have roost as well, but can't use them competitively. Unfortunately, unless sunny day is already active, solarbeam is a no-go and it just can't use roost.

I don't really like recoil moves, and I had forgotten all about Close Combat forsome reason , I had pretty much just copied my Electivires moveset.

For umbreon, I'd say:

{umbreon} @ Leftovers (maybe lum berry)
Careful (+Sp Def, -Sp Atk) | Synchronize
252 Hp, 129 Def, 129 Sp Def

~Mean Look
~Baton Pass
~Wish/ Moonlight
~Toxic

Basically, umbreon's main job is to be a trap-wish-passer. Toxic is there for some added bonus. Although you usually just want to trap and pass.

For blaziken, I usually go with the critcalken.

Since all of these moves have high critical hit ratios, after focus energy, you are pretty much guaranteed a critical hit. If you can, go with night slash instead of shadow claw. They do the same damage and are super effective and weak against most of the same types, except that normal-types are immune to shadow claw. However, if you can't get it, just teach it shadow claw.

Honestly, you usually don't need BP because you can just switch out. The ONLY problem with not having it is being trapped yourself, but you can just toxic them and be done with it.

But if you've Mean Looked a Pokemon and switch out, the Mean Look is void. (Yes, Toxic is there, but if you have a Pokemon that can cure itself of a status condition or one that Toxic doesn't have much of an effect on, Toxic won't do much.) If, however, you somehow end up Umbreon vs. Blissey, you can Mean Look, Baton Pass to a Physical Sweeper and attempt to beat the crap out of it. (OF course, this is if you have Mean Look in your moveset)

pretty straight forward. Lefties allows you to make more then three substitutes, I can get up to 5 while bieng hammered by a bolt beamer, then switch over to hippowdon.

I need a set for Kyogre. The reason bieng Im not sure If I should give it a timid or modest nature. If I had to guess though I would say...

That's not a good selection of moves.

Do this instead:

{gengar} @ Lum Berry/ Choice Specs/ Life Orb
Levitate | Modest
252 Spd, 252 Sp Atk 6 Hp

~Shadow Ball
~Focus Blast
~Thunderbolt
~Destiny Bond

Gengar is a hard hitter, but is also quite fragile. Fortunately, it's fast enough that you don't need a timid nature boost, so go with modest if you can. Shadow ball and focus blast are a ghost+fighting combo, which does at least neutral damage to every possible type combination. Thunderbolt helps its sweeping and destiny bond will help it take down one more foe before it falls.



thekiller0703, umbreon doesn't use baton pass for the wish, it uses it to keep the foe trapped using mean look. The beauty of trap-passing is that you are picking who your foe fights.

I have a mixed infernape, works great vs basically everyone.

{infernape} @ expert belt
232 speed (enough to outspeed garchomp)
252 sp atk, rest in atk

-close combat
-flamethrower
-nasty plot
-grass knot

close combat is strong enough to take out any blissey
flamethrower with nastyplot = hurts alot any skarmory
grass knot kills all bulky boys.

Well, my umbreon is basically a toxi-annoyer, with the following set:
Toxic
Confuse ray
Wish
Protect

Toxic 'em, confuse 'em, and use wish/protect until they are no more. I've even taken down a metagross with the confuse ray. :lol:
I know that you can BP the mean look, but I've never wished that I had that particular set.

I was toying about with the idea of building a team with Counters for some *non-legendary* OU pkmn, I still need much more to fix on them, but still.

Shell with F Punch, lens with F Blast. First off with Hypnosis, Night Shade is to get rid of most tanks (Bastiodon/Dusknoir/Shuckle) thanks to their low base HP. T-bolt is for Skarmory. FP is for Blissey. FB is for Tyranitar.

Wide Lens & Hypnosis are friends. Basically it´s your call to switch the last spot with any of the natures, it doesn´t matter. Sleep-Punching from 125 base Att and STAB means some serious damage (especially for Opponent´s favourite Lucario). Night Slash is for Gengar/Mismagius/[Psychic-type like Alakazam in here].

For a BP Ninjask, I could teach it Double Team, BP, and Swords Dance and some attacking move. Then, when I am in battle and I use the stat increasers. I then use BP to pass the effects on. Does the speed I gain with Speed Boost get passed, too?
EDIT: Also, what would be a good item for a Ninjask with above moves and XScissor other than Lefties. I don't want to need too many Lefties for my team.

Ya. That's why Agility on PassJask is utterly useless.

If you aren't using Substitute on your Jask, I suggest you to have Focus Sash, as it ensures you can take a hit.

The same purpose of giving Jask a Focus Sash for a Jaskpasser, may also be used for the Shedswitch principle. A Shedinja with Focus Sash AND knowing Endure, means that this thing will not die, and if you include Protect and Toxic you could actually stall the battle successfully, of course, this is not perfect, but here is what I mean by Shedswitch.

The idea of Shadow Sneak is to actually not succumb to Taunt into comitting suicide. As good as it sounds, Protect and Endure on the same pokémon is a waste as the accuracy of Protect/Detect and Endure stack. So, if you use Protect one turn, Endure will have a 50% chance of working the next time. You're better off using one or the other and then getting in Confuse Ray and Shadow Sneak. Protect would probably be best as you can at least avoid getting burned.
