I'm not sure if it was just me, but I found the Elite 4 in D/P to be a little... disapointing. Here's a rundown:

1st Boss: He has 3 pkm that have x4 weaknesses, and the only one that ever took more than a little work was Drapion, but that's just 'cuz he's tankish. His damage output isn't all that fantastic. One good rock or gound pkm and it's over in short order.

2nd Boss: She has 3 pkm that are x4 weak vs grass, and the rest are x2 weak. Nothing spectacular.

3rd boss: What a weird mix! If you have a ground pkm, then you're effective vs. 3 of his team. The others are a low damage output ghost dirigible that doesn't do too much (Oh the humanity!) and a lopunny which dies in short order unless it survives and mirror coats (if you attacked with a Sp Att). Nothing too difficult, but the Infernape is dangerous if you don't kill it quick. So far, the infernape is the only thing that gave any real troubles of the elite 4.

4th boss: This guy's more on par with elite 4 levels. Alakazam hurts like heck. Not as easy to come by his weaknesses as the others. So finally with the last boss, we have someone who can put up a good fight.

Seemed way easier than R/S or LG/FR. Anyone else find them easier than the usual Elite 4?

I had a little trouble the first few times because I did not have attacks that dealt 4x damage. My friend and I were at the same point so we combined pokemon and each beat the Elite Four the same day.

i beat them with a team all at or below level 50. i was laughing when i saw my roserade could OHKO half of the water types (due to their combined ground types). and i was quite disappointed that most of the pokes they used were old. i mean the psychic dude has mr mime, girafarig, alakazam, and medicham - the only new one is bronzong.

so you didnt say anything about the champion. what did you think of her?

Well in past games there's next to nothing to do at the end of the Elite 4 (with the exception of Emerald, and even then it's only the Battle Frontier) but in D/P, the real game starts when you get the nat. dex. So, they didn't want to make it too difficult to get to the meat of the game. At least, that's my opinion.

Well, you get the national dex in FR/LG and emerald after the E4...
but yeah, the main part of the game is after the E4

thats only kinda true for d/p if you ask me. the battle tower is nothing compared to the battle frontier. i got the gold shield on my first attempt with my team from emerald (totally unchanged, except for having to delete surf from suicune before importing it). and completing the pokedex isnt too hard if you already have the original 386 ready to palpark over. plus theres the GTS to get everything else you cant get. as soon as you get something good like a feebas, you have the trading power to get virtually everything.

i think the difficulty level of them was just right and the champion was even a little bit too tough in my opinion, because for many, your pokemon are around lv 45 when you reach them and if you were to go straight into the elite four with that level you would lose definetely, that's not true for most other pokemon games, i actually think this elite four was the most difficult (without a large amount of extra training, of course, it's easy to beat them if all your pokemon are level 55-60 by the time you get to them, which probably isn't true for most people)
the only think i'm dissapointed with is that they don't get stronger the second time around like in FRLG

My highest level Pokemon was also at level 48. I defeated all of the first persons Pokemon with Staraptor. They die so easily. I think this was the easiest Elite 4 for me. The Blue, Yellow, and Red were the hardest.

They were much easier than the R/S/E E4, but the only reason the R/S/E were harder, despite being weaker in level, were because of the type diversity. Here, we have:

Bug
Ground
Fire
Psychic

Sooo....
Fire
Grass
Ground
Dark.

But in R/S/E, you had alot of pokemon with diverse types, and not as many 4x weaknesses as in D/P. I beat the E4 in P/D with a team of lvl 40-somthing pokemon, all because I exploited type weaknesses. You see, had I tried a stunt like that in R/S/E, I would have failed miserably.
