Right, so this is my first post...so yea, don't yell at me or call me a noob or nothin, it isn't helpful, thanks :D

Alright so...im on vacation right now and im reallly bored so I took my brother's Diamond version and started a new game on it.

I just defeated Gardenia, and I'm lookin to catch a Heracross but I don't know which tree to slather the honey on. How do you tell which trees are group two??

And I'm wonderin if it would be worth it to catch a Bronzor right now, I dunno.

My current team consists of:
Lvl 24 Prinplup
Lvl 24 Luxio
Lvl 23 Murkrow

Any and all advice is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Heracross is a decent pokemon, however Bronzor is really only worth pokedex data, as you can catch Bronzong later on. (of course if you want to evolve Bronzor for your team, that's cool too)

Alright, thanks for all the quick feedback, I wasn't expecting it. So...a maybe on the Bronzor and a yes on the Heracross?

Im basically looking for anything that I could catch this early on that would help my team.

There is a guide, but it only states that Heracross is available only on group 2 trees, but not how to tell which trees belong to which groups.

For a good early Pokemon, get a Gible. There are multiple guides on youtube that will show you how to get one. Just search: "Catching Gible"

For Bronzor, I don't like him. He might have Psychic/Metal moves, but his Special Atk is sooo low that his Confusions and Extrasensory attacks barely do anything...

Bronzong is more of a wall then a special attacker - try giving it Toxic

Ok, so I think I might stay away from Bronzor for now.

And does anyone know what level pokemon on trees start out to be? Or is it just random or something.

And just wondering, is a Murkrow an okay choice for now? Anything I should replace it with in the future?

Murkrow is a decent in game pokemon. BTW, almost any pokemon can be used to beat the E4, as long as it has decent levels. You might want to evolve it sometime though.

Alright, thanks for all the help Sion6.
So right now im thinking my team in the future will be:

Empoleon
Honchkrow
Luxray
Heracross
Toxicroak

and....

Hmm...I dunno...any suggestions? Something to catch before the E4.

And just to let you guys Know, im probably not gonna get into the whole WiFi thing, like, battling other people and stuff.

Just wanna finish the game, ya know?

I am surprised so many people doubt the abilities of bronzong. It can get Levitate giving it 1 weakness, 8 resistances, and 2 full immunities. With good IVs and EV training it makes for one of the best mixed walls in the game. For everyone who looks at his Atk powers you obviously have no clue what you are doing.

As for the Tree Group 2 I think its the one past the Valley Windworks where you first get the honey. I have a guide on their locations so I am near sure this is correct.

Well uh im probably not gonna get into competitive battling so I dont think im gonna have to worry about EVs and stuff. But do you have a good moveset in mind for a mixed wall Bronzong?

Er......I don't think that a mixed wall would be that useful in the game. Or I could be totally wrong....lol. I think all you need is a good attacker and special attacker. Actually, you could probably beat the game with any team of pokemon...
