if u find missingo and want to catch him???? make sure you have a sapre slot in ure party as if it goes 2 ure box - it would seriously muck it up and freeze it! |

Actually, you can't catch it. I'm pretty sure catching it immediately causes some problems in the game. It may eventually lead to damage to your saved file. So it's best just to make use of it for glitches such as the infinite items glitch; no more that that. |

yes u can catch missingno. and yes, it causes seriously glitches in the game. first off, ur pokemon league records will be replaced by strange pokemon u dont even own with glitched characters for names. leveling up the missingno could result in kangaskhan with strange attacks like sky attack or water gun. |

ouch! whatever you do, do not catch one. if you do, all the pokemon you own will change in to a missingno. yoiu cant release it, and "M" is the same as missingno. also, any pokemon you find over lvl 100 is one. but one good thing to do. talk to the old man in viridian, let him show you how to catch a pokemon. immediately after, fly to cinnabar and surf up and down the right side of the island. when you find a missingno, run and look in your pack. your sixth item will have a strange symbol next to it. the symbol stands for 120. good for getting master balls and rare candies! |

your own pokemon don't turn into Missingno. !! And there is nothing wrong with lvl>100 ! (they return to 100 after gaining exp) I have a lvl 254 (at least the maximum lvl) Alakazam ! (never tried it on link battles before  )
After this level, give them a rare candy, and they'll be lvl 0 and so on........ Give a rare candy to Missingno. and it'll evolve to Kangaskahn.. Knowing 2x watergun and sky attack ! |

I've read that your name affects the Pokemon that appear(those at weird levels, 100 over). Apparently, naming yourself "DxDyDzD" spawns lots of Mewtwos. |

Well, I don't know what happens with your games, guys, but in my Red version it goes like this: M and Missingno aren't the same thing. Yes, they're both glitches. Yes, you have to follow the same steps to find them. But, when I did the Missingno trick and swam in Cinnabar Coast, all I could find was M, Missingno itself never showed up. Some cartridges contain M, and some cartridges contain Missingno, you can't find both in the same game. Yes, M and Missingno do have the same stats (wich are crap) and they have the same attacks (2 Water Gun and 1 Sky Attack). Yes, they do have the same strange type (Bird / Normal). However, if you feed M with a rare candy, it will evolve to Kangaskhan, wich doesn't happen to Missingno (I got this info from Wikipedia, but my M really evolved). M and M Block are the same thing, but they're just a little bit different from Missingno. I have these pictures of glitches: Glitch City:

Yeah, now you know why so many people study it. And just a little tidbit, yeah, they evolve with a rare candy or any experience, but it'll show either a kangaskan truning into a kangaskan or a rhydon turning into a rhydon, and if you say cancel, they remain a glitch forever, which is how I want them since other than their strange movesets, after the evolution they are just regular pokemon. |

Another rare candy, usually it won't try to evolve again, rare times it does, if it does, just cancel, and yeah, it'll stay a glitch. Also, I forgot to mention, alongside 'M/Missingno is a Glitch Pokemon, names make'em tea rockets rockin tells what makes what, for example, Yoh (caps included) spawns lvl 80 and 0 (there is only one letter, a glitched block, that would warrant just lvl 80s or just lvl 0s) and lvl 174 Nidorinos, that's your glitch poke, an above level 100 pokemon. Also, updates to RUMORS. |
