I thought it would be nice to have a guide like this, to help people when it comes to EV traiming their, Pokémon, I only have a good spot for speed at the moment, so fill it up, credit will be given of course.

HP: The route between Twinleaf Town and Sandgem Town, Bidoof. It only gives 1, but the encounter rate is so good that it's worth it.

Attack: Any route with a lot of Bibarels on it. Very good encounter rate and 2 EVs each. If you don't get a good ER with those, go to Victory Road and fight Machokes, with a slightly lower ER and still 2 EVs.

Defense: VICTORY ROAD. Very good ER for three different EV-giving pokemon: Steelix (2), Graveler (2), Onix (1)

Special Attack: Old Chateau. Nothing but Ghastly, who give 1 EV.

Special Defense: The route between Sunyshore City and the Pokemon League (the water route). Almost completely Tentacruel, who give 2 EVs, and the occasional Mantyke (1)... you'll also see Pelipper, but that's less common.

HP: Bidoofs just outside of Sandgem Town. Low XP, but Bidoofs show up often. Also, try fishing in Route 212: The water there is rife with Barboach and Wooper, both worth 1HP.

AT: Route 212 again, the grass just before Pastoria. Kricketunes and Bibarels, both worth 2 AT. Run from the Roselias and Woopers.

Def: the Mine at Orreburg, or Iron Island for higher level Def Training. Go during the day, as you'll get Zubats more often at night.

Sp.Att: Once again: The Mansion in Eterna Forest is, quite simply, the best. Guaranteed Ghastlies.

Speed: route 209, just outside of Hearthome. Starlies and Staravias. Or, basement of the cave between Jubilife and Orreburg: Zubats.

Sp.Def: Surf around the Windworks. Tenta(cool/cruel) in decent quantities.

I use... currently, Bidoofs. Equip a power item, and go fight bidoofs! Well, if you need HP as well. If you want spec. attack but are EVing something else currently, equip that power item and fight ghastlies. Currently, though, it's doofs for me.

Actually, Bidoofs don't give 2 atk EVs. Bibarel is the one who gives two.

This is an excellent thread. I have a question about EVs though -

If you are fighting a Pokémon and switch out, and the second Pokémon KOs whatever you are fighting, do both Pokémon get EVs? Or do EVs count JUST for knock-outs?

Yea, I said Bibarel. The bit on Bidoof is a typo.

Yup, so you might as well just put the EXP. Share on the pokemon you're EV training if it's too weak to battle, as well. EXP. Share will give the same EVs as if the battle was fought by the holder. But yea, any pokemon that gains experience from a battle will also gain EVs.

The tiny lakes in Celestic Town are awesome for Attack. Use the Super Rod on the lakes. You get 2 EVs for Crawdaunt, 2 for Gyrados, and 1 for Corphish. The only rare exception is that you get a Whiscash-just run from it.

Thanks SAIRAM for giving me credit was looking for this thread to post that well just so you guys know the power items are WAY BETTER THAN THE MACHO BRACE sorry if I offended anyone but incase you didn't know
pkmn with the virus and a power item = EASY EV training because you can gain 10 EVs a battle even 12 because look the equation is easy look
2(x+y)=EVs gained
2=pokemon virus
x=if you have a power item equiped this is 4 in that stat
y=EV(s) you gained from the pokemon you battled
Hope this helped

Oh yea. In the Old Chateau there is also a chance of finding Haunters (2 EVs, few) and Gengar (3 EVs, rare) if you insert Emerald in the DS and look in the "Eye Room" (room on second floor with purple painting and red eyes).

Ok guys, given it another update, and made everything to seem clearer, well I think so.
Also, not nagging or anything, but when giving information, it woul;d be handy if you include encounter rates, saves me time and gets the list updated that bit quicker :)

These have a 100% Encounter Rate BUT they take a while to find, these are only suggestable if you have extreme patience. It took me 15 minutes to find my first Unown and I've read while its a 100% encounter they dont appear every 3 steps like in GSC.

I'm a little confused, do power items double EVs gained? And are they items such as Macho Brace?

Yes and no. Gengar and Haunter Appear regardless of which version you have in the GBA slot, And Gengar appears in the Room with Eyes, Haunter roams with gastly.

It would be quadrupled, so: 4.

15 minutes to find the first one? Ouch. I get them in droves.... thing to remember is that they will not show up in the very first room. Go down the first set of stairs, and just run north-south in the hallways; you'll get nothing but F Unowns.

I tested out that spot at Route 212 for HP EV training, and noticed that the only thing I found were Woopers and Quagsires... so I'm under the assumption this makes up the other 10%. Think it might be useful to add that.

I have found a great guide on Smogon that lists trainers that give certain EV points. For me, VS Seeker EV training against trainers is a lot faster than against wild Pokémon. The link is here.
